If Jimbo Goes To Texas After The Bowl Game

I have a buddy from college who is very connected with Kansas' BOT - they are saying Weiss to FSU is a done deal. They've already begun looking quietly for his replacement. Believe it or not, Dorito is already on the short list and will be one of the first interviews.

If if Jimbo leaves, do you really think he will give two ****s about our recruiting unless he can draw those kids to UT? Coley, the guy he refused to give play calling responsibilities to? Dont forget Coley is a FSU alumni, the main reason he left was because Jimbo is too much of a micro manager on offense and Coley was never going to flourish and break off on his own. Coley wanted to stay, but he had hit his ceiling there as long as Jimbo was at FSU. Now Coley going back to FSU is a real possibility, if that is what you meant originally......

Whoever is gonna be the coach at Texas is gonna be a able to pay their asst coaches pretty much whatever they want. They will be paying the big bucks for Ws and we all know that the best talent in the nation comes from SFla and I'm sure Jimbo is gonna pay someone with strong SFla connections big $ so he can still attempt to get some of that elite talent. You make a good point so I guess it is unlikely it would be Coley but I think it could still be a possibility.

Telling UT is needs to recruit So Fl talent is like tellig THE U it needs OSS skill positions. TX is a happy hunting ground like FL and CA. Everyone wants to come pick some cherries, but Jimbo is less dangerous to our recruiting if he has TX to farm. Whoever is at FSU will be a bigger threat.

I disagree, UT has less and less time to get a HC in, his staff, get to the recruits, stop some from flipping, sell them on the new staff and do it all in a months time. Briles could get the job but if UT was offering monster money and pressuring him I think he would've left already. Jimbo? He has leverage to say wait until after the NC

Agree. It's Texas. Only two coaches left who have this leverage are Jimbo and Gus.

It's just a matter of time before some of these young bucks on twitter start spreading these rumors and put these shady thoughts in recruits' ears.
 
If this is true, Jimbo staying till the bowl game won't help the majority of the class that signs on NSD (i.e. normal enrollment) so kids like Lane and Rudolph will likely know the status of the HC before NSD.

Sure this BS may help FSU be shady with the kids that enroll early (http://registrar.fsu.edu/extended.htm) as school starts January 6th at FSU and that is the date of the National Championship. So kids like Cook may be impacted by this BS.

So you twitter users, make sure you tweet away all the rumors and try to ***** FSU.

Even if they signed a player, if it rubbed that player the wrong way they could take FSU through the wringer, if, if any of this is true. Look what M Thomas did to them last year, and he really had no grounds to ***** about anything.

Yes, but only if the coach has publicly commented on the position he is leaving for. Notice you haven't heard a peep from Jimbo about UT.

How many SoFla kids have gone to UTexas? Texas is loaded with talent, and UTexas gets pretty much whoever they want. He would have no need to go to SoFla for talent.
