I think what drives us Canes fans crazy..

It's funny, cuz Brady Hoke coached programs have more 11 win seasons than Miami since he started being a HC.

Yeah, that is funny, because it is irrelevant and shows that you get what I meant by bringing him up. Hoke came in and "turned the program around" in year one, only to have a worse record every year. That appears to be the path you guys want. WIN NOW BEEYATCHES.

Win now > Not winning at all. Notice how we still bring up 2017 because its the last time we actually had a season worth of ****? Despite finishing on a 3 game losing streak lol

Those aren't the only two options. Win for years > winning only in year 1, but the first one takes patience. That doesn't go out the window just because our fans think we have talent.

The fan base is not duped, it is cluelessly gullible to the propaganda from the vast collection of self annointed experts and pundits. It is akin to battered wife syndrome.
Pretty much. After we collapsed under Richt (following that ND game) I've never got excited about us being anywhere near back.

It's going to take time to build a roster, sadly.

No Miami fan ever says “we’re back“. That’s all a media creation if we win a few games in a row then they laugh and joke about it when we lose. Like we were saying it in the first place. Fact is Miami will never be what it was again. Accept it and move on.

At this point Miami fans just want to play for Acc titles and occasionally making a run at a natty. That’s the ceiling.

Mario wins 12 games at Oregon = "so what, the Pac 12 sucks"

USC starts 6-0 in the Pac 12 = "that's our measuring stick"

That's why this site is such a cartoon.
usc has sucked for years.
Miami has sucked for years.

Both hired what are supposed to be big name coaches.

They are undefeated. We are 2-3.

The acc sucks and the pac sucks.

USC undefeated with the same SOS as us so far into the season. Riley brought in Dye and Addison. We brought in Parrish and Ladson.
Miami should be 3-2 or 4-1 but to make it seem like Miami should be undefeated because USC is, is goofy. The fact that you used Ladson/Addison, Dye/Parrish as a comparison is goofier. Left out Mario Williams. Left out Caleb Williams playing in the same exact system offensively.

And, again, since when is the measuring stick determined in the first six games?

Whose first year would you rather have, Brady Hoke's or Dabo Swinney's? Hoke's of course. How about now?

Dont disagree. Just stating as of now usc went in the right direction. Ours is yet to be seen

Would you like to place a large wager on who has a better record in 5 years? Miami or usc?

Good coaches put their stars in position to win. Mario should of seen this offense was not a fit for tvd and put a coordinator in place to take advantage of his strengths.

The idea of “winning for years” “Building a foundation to last” etc is mostly BS. There might be….maybe….1-2 coaches who have done that in the last 50+ years. Saban, then who? Maybe Stoops or Bowden?

It pretty much does not ever happen anywhere. Coaches win in smallish windows of time or they usually don’t win at all (at elite championship levels).
