Yep.. I mean everyone bashed Enos but yet he's now OC at Maryland.. Butch Barry just completed a season as a senior analyst for the Packers... Searles ran our D over for a record day at NC.... I mean it makes ya wonder... lol

P.S. - For the record D'Ono still sucks...

Enos had a very rigid definition of what an offense should be and tried to make it fit here. He is the personification of when people say X wouldn't be a good fit here.

Eh i see the point you are trying to make but... Enos went from Bama to Miami to RB coach at Cincinnati, now to maryland who has not had a winning season since like 2014... His path is not on an upward trajectory and appears to be going backwards.

Barry being an analyst means nothing. Likewise he was Bucs OL coach, UM OL coach, and now an analyst off the field. Similarly, his trajectory is not favorable.

Searels did run us over, but he made a lateral move. I also may be an outlier but I think UNC was top 5 in skill position players in all of CFB. His I guess is TBD.

D'ono still sucks. Agreed.

While impressive, if LSU wanted to show us AND more importantly Bama who the big dogs of college football really are, they would take the hottest up and coming young HC in College football in Manny Diaz and make him the LB coach. Then get his two top assistants in Baker and Patke and make them GA’s. That’s the power move that makes Saban take notice. LSU you’re on the clock.....
 
Our LB’s are going to miss him. They are the most fundamentally sound LB’s we have developed in years. I’m more worried about our recruiting. How can we find someone to replace all those contacts in Louisiana? What a disaster. I hate LSU for this.
 
If Baker goes, the wheels will completely fall off of our D and our pipeline to Miami high schools.

Theres certainly something to this. The player we have here is much different then anywhere else. If you can get them to play as one & run through a wall for you it can be very easy. If you play favorites & lose their trust theyll be the most difficult kids to coach in the nation.

Funny how fan bases can rationalize decisions, including our own fan base. Baker may be fine as a LB coach for them, but just presenting the numbers in both of these posts without context is terribly misleading.

Bandy stunk last year and Bethel was a solid rotational guy with physical limitations. We replaced the DEs with another first round DE and Roche is a guy who will go in Rounds 2-3.

Our linebackers took a huge step back and Baker was the **** LB coach. That’s a key point, regardless of who we loss there. He also only coached Shaq and Pink, not Finley.

He brags about LSU’s being able to replace their talent unlike us and our defense was MUCH better than their defense this year. Which is why their DC got fired. Just funny to see the perspective of someone who clearly never watched a Miami game and just cherry picked stats to try and prove a point.

Our LBS are elite in terms of creating space for WRs. I'm also not sure there has ever been a DL that has excelled in opening up running lanes the way we did last year. Solid offensive effort from our defense.
