How the Gators feel about playing Miami on opening day

This will be a very very tough game for Miami. I love my canes but they do have a lot of advantages. Just being a realist.
Like what? They have holes just like everybody else. They are definitely NOT unbeatable whatsoever. 1 year removed from going 4-8.

Not much experienced talent in their front 7 on defense. Marco Wilson not going to be fully healthy and have no impact safeties .
What legit players do they have on defense outside of like 2-3? Sh*t looks pathetic compared to miami

-Breaking in 4 new starters on oline
-Loss polite, Chauncey Gardner, vosean Joseph on defense
-loss juwan Taylor, Jordan Scarlett, Martez ivey, Fred johnson on O plus more.

Plus they have to go against our defense in which our front 7 have a massive advantage vs their new oline that has struggled this spring and rbs . They got talent at receiver but who doesn’t. Our dbs are seeing great talent at skill positions every day.

I agree with this though Chris Steele could be really good at safety.

Comparing defense to defense, you are correct. But it's our offense that has to match up with their defense. And our line is pathetic until they show otherwise.

Okay, but we have weapons that can stress any defense. With varied playcalling and mixing it up(not just running fb dive on 3rd and short or vertical routes for the receivers in predictable situations). Using motions to help scheme people open, all of that sh*t matters and we didn’t have that last year so the oline was at a massive disadvantage as people knew exactly what we were doing. Despite all that Miami still finished top 40 in rushing yards per carry which is pretty **** good.

Apparently he has been pretty **** bad at cb this spring
He should be at safety. That's probably where he can shine.

And I agree, I don't see all the gaytor dominance here for the reasons you suggested. Their RB's are over-rated, they have major OL issues and their front 7 can't touch ours. Wilson has been hurt, they don't have dominant safeties, our TE's are better. Their receivers should be ok.

It doesn't scream favorite let alone blow out.

Exactly, August 24th can’t come soon enough

Just to keep it 100. There D Line is just as good as ours. There prolly better at DT. There secondary is better. We got them at LB. Both of our O lines are terrible. We bring in a new O. So there will be learning curve.

Their dline is not just as good as Miami. Who are you accounting for as their dt being better? Kyree Campbell? Adam shuler? Their 2 returning starting dts combined for 7 tfls 3 sacks....

furthermore this is the same passing defense that got torched in multiple games last year and have Marco Wilson coming back who won’t be fully healthy game 1. And it’s a new season and Miami just got even more talented at safety inserting bubba bolden and Gurvan Hall into presumed starting roles. Plus our secondary will receive a lot of help which will enhance their play due to the pressure our front 7 will have all game

Going off what Brock said, our Dlines are incomparable. Our LB’s are better, our DE’s are better, our Olines are equal clusterfüks at the moment. I believe they outmatch us is at cornerback and safety especially when it comes to proven and quality depth. You can’t count bolden as a given when he’s not even on campus yet. You also cant ignore the fact they’re coming off a top 10 season with a proven offensive and defensive scheme that they’re very effective and now experienced in.

That last point would give any bettor pause, however, if Enos can get our boys up to speed by August and Manolo can manage to keep our defense in the top 5-10 in the country.... I think we’ll slaughter the trailer trash.

Tell him Brock, and all these guys to quit reaching to justify anything Gaytors being better than Miami. If they keep that crap up they can kiss your candy 🤬.
