Grade This Class

C at best...Not completely thrilled with our DT class. And most importantly, how do you not bring in a single CB? Eerily similar recruiting pattern to dent head.

B+...would be an A- if Gray would qualify. I hope he goes to prep and is able to qualify next year.

We didn't close as strong as we all would have liked but the staff did get some solid Safetys, strong JUCO DT's with two solid up and coming DT's out of HS, along with one of the strongest O-line classes...even after losing Gibbons. I like this class and think it has a great future.

Being top 10 is nonsense. Especially this year and most especially when your rivals are ahead of you (and most especially when one of them finished 4-8). This class should have been number one by a long shot. Its tough to grade RB at anything less than an A when you get a guy like Yearby, but we whiffed on 2 five star backs in our back yard and even our plan C went to our rivals at the 11th hr.

WR? Another disappointment. We had a 5 star committed (coached by a UM alum mind you) and couldn't hold on and another 5 star from our own back yard, whose friggin uncle is on the coaching staff and we couldn't close. Both end up at rival schools. Another high 4* visits your campus 100 times and goes to Ohio. ****, we had to go to NC to get our highest rated WR. Is this the University of Montana or University of Miami? McKenzie to UGA....c'mon man.

Nothing at TE. We lose an important OL recruit to Stanford, again at the 11th hr. DT what can I say? Position of need, most importation position in Golden's defense and he wiffs on a guy that had season tickets. He wiffs on the #1 DT in Florida after having him committed for several months. Disappointing.

Couldn't close on a CB from Immokalee....Immokalee man. smfh. We take a 2 star QB from Bama and don't recruit one of the most important players in SoFla until 2 weeks before NSD.

This class was a fkin slam dunk and we blew it.

C+

Nothing at TE? Given your commentary, how do you justify giving the class a C+?

What did we get at TE?

So you acknowledge you read my commentary....and you still want further explanation??? You can't be this stupid.

I justify it by comparing what it EASILY and REALISTICALLY could have been to what it is. Staff failure. I am very familiar with your agenda though, so I know you're going to turn this into 76 pages of apologizing for Al. Spare me

B+ , but should have been A.
Anyone grading this class lower than a B either has an agenda, or maybe just doesn't understand recruiting!

I still laugh at what transpired with the 2008 class

Forston, spence, and Robinson all earned freshman all American honors. Then our staff took over

B
Missed out on too many local playmakers.
Didnt not properly address the S and DT situations, although we didnt strike out.......

Did land a potential franchise QB, best DE in the state in the last couple of years, and for once the JAG meter is almost on empty. Really like the lower rated kids as a whole, solid 3 star kids that dont look like 3 stars we got in the past.
I understand your concerns at the DT position but how did we miss out on the Safety position? We got 3!

Most other years I'd say B. This year -- the year everyone has been waiting three-plus years for once everyone realized how loaded the 2014 class was going to be -- what was missed from right in our own back yard...I say a good C.

You may be happy but you can't be fully satisfied only getting a thousand bucks when a million is up for grabs and it's all within arms reach compared to anyone else.

Everyone keeps looking simply at what we got using we can't win them all excuse. I look at what we missed and wonder why we can't at least win some...because it doesn't seem like we are winning any big recruiting wars (outside the Coley surprise last year).

Herndon and Njoku?

My point on your commentary is that you had nothing good to say about the class. Given that, it seems like C+ is too high. Apparently, that point went over your head, which frankly doesn't surprise me. You aren't familiar with my agenda, because, unlike the vast majority here, I don't have one other than wanting the program to succeed.

would give it a B+

on another note will all the complainers just shut up, and be grateful for what we have a top 20 class, if a recruit dont have the heart of a hurricane then he dont need to be here and let get his education somewhere else, i only want recruits with hearts of hurricanes, ie trevor darling

Aren't winning ANY recruiting wars? Or aren't winning any NSD recruiting wars?

Regardless of all the good, we were on our way to GREAT before Al let the Penn St stuff linger, and suddenly we went from a top 3-4 class, to maybe top 10ish.

We lost Powell, Bethel, Valentine, AND Gibbons, all late. Absolutely terrible.

On top of that, we failed to pull in Dixon, Cook, JC Jackson, or get Rudolph back.

I'm happy with a lot of the guys we did get, but losing all that talent, while 4-8 Florida **** near matches our class, doesn't amuse me in the least.

B-, maybe C+
