Not the moves you make if you're truly aiming to challenge the elite of college football. Two assistants don't equal a P5 coordinator.

Today we named a recent grad assistant and a former bar tender as co DCs. Our entire junior and senior classes have more D1 experience than our new co DC! And, our associate HC was a high school coach 18 months ago, before he took a low level assistant to the assistant DL pro job! Mark No-D has more college football wins than them all combined. F

F, neither have ever called defensive plays. I'm tired of guys cutting their teeth here. If the now vacant spot of the staff isn't filled with some sort of offensive guru, then this is even worse. I'm not expecting Mork to make any sort of move like that though.

If making these moves ensures budget space to afford a home run OC, then that should be factored in later and this grade can maybe move up to B-.

The three of them had significant contributions to the best defense in college football this season.

Manny didn’t do it all himself.

You can hate the fact Richt didn’t bring someone in from the outside but don’t bash the job those coaches did this season.

Its not even close either No D has about 20 more wins than all 3 of them do combined in college.

I’m still in awe that Rumph was passed up....even Jess to a point. Rumph and Jess are the only dudes not named Mark Richt that have called plays before in their lifetime. Literally in disbelief he promoted 2 dudes that were GA’s in the last 4 years and one as of last year.


I was laughing at the fact that Willie Martinez or Van Gorder would probably be the DC. As of right now I wish it was one of them. Really hoping they prove me wrong.

This post shows people's lack of intelligence.the man hasn't even had one game as dc and they are already determined how good or bad he is.I will reserve judgement on padke until the end of next season.a wise person always searches a matter out before they make a decision or comment about it.a fool runs his mouth before searching it out and often times eats a course of crow .many on here said the very same thing about Manny then cried like a spoiled brat when he left.be careful what you wish you just might get it.

Dude... u don’t hire somebody to coordinate a defense whose never coordinated a defense.

You are correct.. the decision should’ve been searched out. Since we know these men haven’t done this job, then obviously richt was unable to search anything out.

First time coordinators are hired at mid majors.. not at UM.
