FSU game not happening? -Travel and Hurricane Damage

I was booked for my first trip to Tallahassee and cant make it on 10/7. Sucks bad, but obviously small potatoes in the big scheme.

Undeniably the season is ruined & this team/staff gets a 100% pass in my opinion. You can't play good football like this. A. your mind is off the game B. no practice C. team split up D. no bye week to rest up...

I can tell you that football is certainly not on the mind of the local guys on this team. Very tough situation.

Which is over half our team. I just can't imagine being such a ******* **** to where I throw a fit because my football team isn't playing, practicing or thinking about a game in the face of a potentially life altering and life threatening storm. Literally baffles me

Yep, feel terrible for everybody. Still hoping & praying it tracks more right.

Football is not on the minds of the local guys. That isn't going to be their focus. This thing will have an impact longer than a week if Miami takes a direct hit.

Kids families displaced. Messed up for weeks if not months. Football should be the last thing this program is worried about for a while. Focus on the kids, their families, and if Miami metro area is jacked up emotionally the last thing these kids would be worried about for the foreseeable future would be football.

Family first. Canes 2nd.

I hope that's not directed at my post. I agree 1000% these games should be canceled & a game should be the least of anyones concern.

Nah just a general comment on some of our resident dumb asses that disgrace our fan base

Good god. It's not about the conditions in Tallahassee. It's about possibly having no roads or electricity for two weeks in Miami. But yeah, I know, "how does that affect practice???"

Don't be logical. I'm just being a prick (not an idiot). Disregard and move on.

I'd like to just see what the F this storm does before discussing cancelling games.

That's all of us. We gotta just let ride until sunday afternoon.

Moving the FSU game to 10/7 makes this an 8 - 3 or 7 - 4 season. It gives Blackman more time to develop and solidifies that 'L' to FSU, it gives us less time to prepare for the triple option, and with no break after this upcoming weekend there's no way fatigue and injuries don't play a part in us losing one or more games during the UNC, VT, and Notre Dame gauntlet. Not saying they won't or shouldn't do it, just saying if they do this season is finished.

Wow that is a Goldenized porst.

You're right. Having no bye week for 10 straight weeks works in our favor. And the confidence and adjustments to game speed Blackman develops over 3 games will make him too confident when Miami strolls into town. And you're right, we beat GT last year. We don't even need to practice. They're going to run the ball; just stop them. UNC lost to Cal so they're basically going 0 and 12 and VT barely beat the same exact WVU team we slaughtered in a bowl game so they probably won't even show up; that's a dubya. Notre Dame went 4 - 8 last year and we won't discuss that loss 'cause it was last year even though the win I previously discussed over WVU was last year but that's fine because it benefits us.

You're totally right. 14 - 0 National Champions. Tickets ordered.

Did you forget to take your meds this morning? Good lord man get yourself together.

Laughing at this ongoing exchange.

I personally would prefer to see Miami-FSU on 10/7 and deal with a short week against Ga Tech than miss my favorite rivalry in football.

My Nole cousin just texted me:

They should just name every storm Gator. It will always avoid Miami and can't touchdown in Tallahassee either.

The team is already being told that there is a high likelihood the FSU game will be moved to later in the season.

Thanks Pete. Are you staying or getting out of town? Be Safe

Pete has to put hurricane shutters on his brow. High likelihood of him going airborne otherwise.

We kid cause we love. I'm waiting for "The Work- Irma". All meteorological inside info.

If the game is rescheduled the weekend of 10/7, no reason it can't be on a Friday. We play Duke the Friday before, FSU plays the saturday before and after. That would give us 7 days between Duke/FSU, and 6 days between FSU/GT. FSU would have 6 and 8 days between their games. I think that is more likely than moving the GT game from Thursday to Sunday, since that game is already scheduled as the national game that night.

^^^^Let's needs some traction.^^^^
