Seeing his offense get blown out by FAU is not very reassuring. We just lost to FIU and La Tech so I don't take the talent argument too well.
That is the very reason I picked this game. I wanted to see what happened and what was the underlying issue. Still when you consider over 400 yards of total offense (300 passing over 100 rushing) and the fact they missed a field goal or two, costly turnovers and the fact the defense couldn't stop a 2 legged turtle?
This was a lot on execution in my opinion. Had a particular set of series in the third quarter where Lashlee seemed a little too much boom or bust (in an obvious attempt to breathe life into the team) but other than that I just caught the quarterback missing a lot of good looks and it was a wrap. Qb was 50% on the day and I just don't think he did enough that week to help his team win.
No sacks given up. Very few tackles for loss and the rushing yards make it safe to say the offensive line did it's job. But it does prove a point to me that if the quarterback is going to routinely miss targets in this offense, there's a high chance it can sputter.
