While I agree with this timeline..if you are going to fire the AD it needs to happen in the next month or less. So you have time to search for one because then the AD needs time to search for a HC since most posters on here want a thorough search and not just a Mario Christobal free for all. (which I dont agree with. Get Mario and be done with it)

Alot of people say they dont care how long it takes to find the right HC, just find one. That sounds good in October and **** it even sounds good in November. But Dec and Jan start rolling around and LSU and USC have already backed up the brinks truck to get the guys they want, Mario feels disrespected by a nationwide search and wanted to be the #1 and only candidate so he turns us down and you look up we got a big problem on our hands. Doesnt have to be a fast search. But this cant drag on for a month either.

I think all we can hope for at this point is that the communication with Mario’s agent is well into discussion and this collection of village idiots has at least 1 or 2 people with some football sense. Hopefully they’ve let The agent and Mario know what the end game as it pertains to The canning of Flake and the hiring of Zo ( if that’s the decision) is and they at least said Mario is or might be interested with this scenario as long as the money can be worked out.

If not then they need to move on now before other end of year firings are made as is normal and we are fighting 2 teams for the same coaches ( if we are going top notch as said ) instead of 10-15.

As I said a couple days ago I can see it now.They play around and play around until all the decent guys are gone and then use that as the excuse to hire a Manny type again and come out with the “ he was the best available candidate that was out there”.

Again I’m not gonna believe I have any pretty things in my boxes until I get them open and see them…I’ve gotten coal waaaaay to many times from these fools over the years after big talk about pretty things promised.

There should be a separation of powers... academics and athletics should be run separately just like the medical program is even though it all falls under the University of Miami name.

Each has the ability to bring in tons of money if its run properly. Its too much for just one person to oversee by themselves. Frenk's weight is in academia and healthcare and thats where it should stay.

Regardless of Money you aren’t going to get a good coach with a Lame duck/ bad AD. Haven’t seen any smoke of him being fired, so I don’t think anything will change big picture.

I am not sure if firing BJ is a necessity, get a good coach that is an Alpha (Mario or someone like him) in place that wins and he will override the AD. You think Saban or Dabo give a **** what their AD says, nah, they will go straight to the president of the university. BJ only has power because Manny is a puzzy and does not know **** about running a football team so he has to listen to BJ. Mario comes in and BJ has very little power over the football operations. JMO.
Regardless, I would still like to see BJ gone.

Mario is NOT going to be coaching here if Flake is anywhere working on the campus nor should he have too.

Please tell me if one decision Flakes made with any of the top three sports that should keep him in place.His claim to fame,so to speak, is he’s a good fund raiser.If the village idiots running this place had as much business sense as they supposedly have they’d know a monkey could raise money if these sports ,ESPECIALLY FOOTBALL were successful.

Smart people do not continuously throw good money after bad and they are not going to keep throwing their money into something where all they see is constant failure.Nor should they be expected to.

Flake needs to go.Hire someone that is more than a carnival barker and you’ll not only have successful programs again but the money will flow like a rapids instead of a stagnant collection pond.

Difference is Saban and Dabo have crystal footballs behind them on the shelf when they speak to the AD.I guarantee they weren’t running their mouths to the AD and running things before they started having success.No they had great ADs in place that allowed for them to have success.

You can have power when you win but that stems from the old question “ what came first the chicken or the egg”. It’s hard to have a top notch program with someone like Flake the jerk running things so first how do you GET a good enough coach here that would win enough to have power enough to speak back to an AD given that his AD has no clue how to oversee a COc k fight non the less the sports programs at a major university……or a mid level high school for that matter.
