I’ve heard multiple interviews with manny and he’s constantly ****ting on the o. Keeps mentioning how awful the rankings are and how unacceptable that is.
He should sh*t on defense too as they were exposed in several games throughout the year too. They may have had a couple games where they looked great but it was just that, a couple as they were bad in more than half of the games we have played

I'm not even mad at Enos really. Just imagine the torment that goes through his mind at night. He walked away from an NFL OL, Tua, Harris, Juedy, Smith, Ruggs, Waddle, etc.. to jump on board this sh*t show. Literally might have 1 TE & maybe DeeJay who can pierce the 2 deep at Bama. And yet, he took the bait from a failed politician. Hook, line & sinker. Career suicide. All while being subjected this trash fanbase, conference, coaching staff, rooster, etc..

Explain that choice to the wife and kids Dan. :chrispaulnoooo: :nba-kobe-bryant-upset:

He committed Hara Kiri.
So it's on him and nobody else.
He had all the freedom in the world to run the offense he wanted.

They weren't bad in more than half the games we played. How many points do you think a good defense should give up in a game?
CMU 12
UVA 9
FSU 10
UF scored 24 with 7 coming directly after a muffed punt
GT scored 7 pts against the defense in regulation
They gave up 12 points to Pitt on the road
They obviously shut out BCC

That is 7 times they held a team in the teens or less

We can get into games where the defense gave the offense every opportunity to play up to a minimum standard and score points. Duke had 13 through three quarters plus and the D finally broke after dealing with bad position and coming to the realization that the O wasn't gonna do a **** thing. What also helps a D play better is your offense making the opponent get out of their game plan because they're in fear of giving the ball back to an offense that is moving up and down the field and scoring points. How any one has the energy to talk about a defense that without offensive and special teams miscues would've held 7 teams to 17 pts or less is beyond me.

Good teams score points. The reason this team hasn't got to double digits wins in the last two years is because of a trash O. LOL at being able to pick out a couple plays a game on defense to build and argument against it. That would be like if Enos was putting up 35-40 a game and we were losing in shootouts and then saying welp he didn't get a couple of 3rd and shorts so he's clearly the ******* problem.

He was hired here because he roasted Diaz twice while he was at Miss St. He had perfect personnel for his approach, a HUGE OL ( largest in CFB)- and a seasoned QB in 2015. He didn’t adapt to his personnel in 2016 or beyond. Red flag. But, that 2015 season - down the stretch - was **** good.

Any QB with 3 extra seconds to throw would torch Manny's D.

Games we were terrible on defense

Unc (4th and 17)

Va tech 6 possessions in the redzone for 6 tds

Ga tech(look beyond just the score board, 29 missed tackles and couldn’t stop a team the whole 3rd quarter)

Fiu (come on man, giving up 30 vs fiu?)

Louisville ( almost 500 yards of offense given up and **** of big plays allowed)

Duke (lol)

That’s half of the games sir... not to mention the games like cmu and uf where they weren’t good either

Maybe we suck on defense but suck a **** of a lot worse on offense.

Defense was far better than the offense...but we faced a tougher slate of defenses than we did offenses (not elite, but decent, Pitt/VT/VA/Duke, etc are all better defensive teams than offensive, UNC would be opponents) I still think we need a veteran DC...I don't like that Diaz had to get involved with the defense. He is an inexperienced and til this point, AWFUL, HC...And needs to be a HC, not a DC.

IIRC he mentioned on the Joe Rose Show this morning that defense is Top 15-20 in almost every category.

Can we steal Randy back from UCF?!?!

He’s delusional if he can’t see there were obvious problems with the defense in a lot of the games this year then

You mean that whole third quarter where GT didn't score a point. In fact they didn't score a point in the entire half. They held UF to 17 pts and created two TOs in the 4th quarter. One that would've given the team a 2 score lead. The other where they gave the O a chance to win. The Offense and special teams squandered them both. Bunch of a living in the past. You think teams just lock everyone down? Even LSU is giving up 37 points to teams like Ole Miss. They gave up 38 points to Vandy. 28 to Florida. This aint 10 years ago. Or even 5. You wanna win games specifically meaningful ones. You put points on the board.

Just a btw. The number two team in the country has played poorly in 5 games defensively. That isn't even by your lofty standards. Legit looking like ****. You know why know one cares? Cuz they're putting up 45 points a game

Correct. Some of these dudes love isolating stats here and there, but they must not watch the games if they thought this defense was anything other than profoundly average.

Imagine if we didn’t wind the play clock down to zero on every snap and this sorry D had to face more plays. We folded consistently and couldn’t get stops when we needed them against some really bad teams. That’s not good defense.
