Emory Williams is our QB 1 Next Season

I’ve never been an Emory believer.

The worst profile in college football is the polished, unathletic high school QB. Those guys almost always fail and they get overhyped in non-contact settings.

Full-contact football requires athleticism at the QB position. Tom Brady is considered a “non-athlete” yet was drafted in another sport. It’s so hard to succeed with an overcoached one-sport guy.

D$ truthism should be a thing when players flame out and leave the program.

The Emory narrative was always suspicious, but glad to see an honest assessment finally brought into the discussion

I've been saying it since high school. And I said it loudest when I wanted to sign Mendoza from the Portal and 75% of the fans said “we already have Emory at home.”

you and I had private messages about this. I remember think people were nuts not thinking Mendoza was an upgrade.

When was Emory polished?
 
Not much about these takes are honest... DEFINITELY misguided #1 99% of y'all have the takes y'all have based on flag football and camps... Not much required for that.

#2 while Emory wasn't at all what we would've WANTED at the position to look at his game individually as in what he could provide to ECU opposed to us it's not at all the same ask. If he would've been out QB it would've been a possession offense with basic throws in large part. Not much over the middle of the field. Run heavy and tight ends & check downs more involved. We would've had studs all around him that would carry him. At ECU they're asking HIM to carry that offense... That's not his skill set. He is the same don't beat ourselves. Make them beat us guy. Wouldn't have anywhere near the same peak that we have. But with schedules like this it would've been pretty similar results.
