Early depth chart

He needs weight and strength. He’ll get burn at de , we need depth and he’s already quick as ****. Kinda like Elijah last year , but he’ll get more pt. Then slide inside year two
There was a lot of talk last spring about Elijah as a 5* talent. Seeing that we are nothing special at DT, do you think he takes someone’s spot in year or two or is 2nd string his ceiling in 2021?

QB King Van Dyke Garcia
RB Chaney Knighton Cam
WR Rambo Key Smith Brinson
WR Redding Payton
WR Harley Pope B Smith
TE Mallory Arroyo
LT Nelson Walker
LG Donaldson Seymore

I expect a big jump from Elijah , his body should be ready. Basketball kept weight off but I see being in 285-290 range next year. He’s a special talent. @Elijah's Biggest Fan how we looking ?

They both will be great in the future but not game 1, if they play anywhere else but special teams and mop up duty in game 1 we are in trouble.
Don't know about this. These 2 guys are uber-talented, and not playing the best players has been an issue for Diaz & Co. No free passes for PT. The coaches need to encourage competition at every position and reward the best players.
Now if the kid has only been there for fall camp, day 1 may be tough. But if they're competing for a position, and if the younger player with the higher ceiling is even, the coaches have to make sure they get on the field for developmental purposes.

I wonder if Jordan Miller moving to OG would not be a bad idea.

we have some young guys at DT and he is okay there.

Anyone rooting for cb’s to leave is tripping , this could be the first year in forever we could have 3-4 cb on the field at the same time. Which would help out immensely defending spread offenses. There’s finally depth.
Agreed. We just don't have the depth there as it is. I expect Stevenson, Blades, and Couch (slot) to be our starters. Ivey's not very good, but we're going to need him to get some snaps.

VAN DYKE may surprise us all, can't wait. New blood and height.

My first thought was Donaldson. He played there a game or two a few years ago and wrecked havoc. My only hesitation is that it will leave the guard position as a liability. We know Scaife is not a good guard.
Maybe C. Reed or one of the younger guys can step up at guard. Either way we need more size and strength on the interior.

This.. we are good at safety tell Williams if he wants to be a major part of what we do on defense this year start off in the box at one of the LB positions where we're weak at.. dude is a chess piece like no other use him like it

LT being in the rotation at de is a strong possibility. If he was here for spring id expected him playing game one. He’s special , speed with his size is unheard of.

isnt LT supposedly up close to 290?
