DT Tywone Malone enters Portal

If he wants to play baseball and plans on playing it's pointless. He was a non-factor at Ole Miss and they attributed it to his time wasted sitting the bench all weekend. Never going to reach his potential.

If he's dropping baseball for football only.. pretty bad miss.

Full court press still on both him and Rose. Don’t concede.

To much positivity surrounding Malone's recruitment over the last couple weeks.

Gaby trying to create some drama, before Malone commits to the Orange & Green.

Signed,

Peruche

Yeah, this is why I'm not buying into the incredible DT haul being talked about for this upcoming class.

Why? Because we failed to get a Portal guy or two?

For 20 years, Miami struggled to recruit offensive lineman. Then Mario buckled down and recruited high school kids and signed perhaps our best OL class ever (or at least since Butch & Art were doing it).

Why do you think we won't have comparable success recruiting high school DTs this upcoming year? With Mario and Jason doing it, assisted by Joe?

No need to let the past dictate negativity. You don't have to be blindly optimistic either, they are going to have to work hard for the next 7 or 8 months to land these high schoolers, but things are looking up right now.

**** what changed in just one day, why go to Ohio State to begin with? He would have a much better shot at playing here

If Rose is a no then who do we pivot to?
At this point it is Malone, Rose or go with what we have on the roster and hope Mario and staff land a monster 2024 DT class ... and hope nobody get injured THIS year. Edge rushers and LB's better have a monster season.

I’m willing to bet it’s baseball. Canes program is far better than OSU. Assuming he wasn’t giving the green light to play both at UM & OSU will let him.

Yeah, OSU letting him play his favorite sport lol
That’s still speculation and Taint isn’t exactly needing to bend over backwards for recruits. That all said, if baseball is still a major thing for this kid, I just don’t think he will end up reaching his full potential anyway. Once again, that’s if this is actually the case. Kid needs to focus on football.

big miss.. but if he's not willing to give up baseball, it's a much easier pill to swallow since he'll never live up to his potential playing both sports...
