Don't Shoot The Messenger But...

I don't know when this happened, but it seems like everyone affiliated with running or covering the Miami program just developed collective Down syndrome over the last 8 or so years. Cristobal sucks. We don't need a Miami guy, that's retarded logic. We need an amazing coach, whether he is Cuban bro, or played here is irrelevant. Nick Saban isn't a Bama guy. Meyer wasnt a UF guy. Jimbo isn't an FSU guy. These are just good coaches. Cristobal would be the end of this program. He has done nothing. The University of Miami, hiring a coach who got fired at FIU. Only here would that even be a thought. Can you imagine OSU hiring a guy who got fired at Toledo, or USC hiring a guy who bombed at Cal Poly?

So why is it impressive winning at Memphis in a horrible conference make him such a great Miami hire

Herman is in the same crappy conference and has been head coach for 6 games

Are these two guys sure things over Mario who has south Florida pedigree or Schiano who was hired by the NFL

Might as well just bury this program right now.

Feldman: Mario Cristobal is ‘Most Viable Option’ to Replace Al Golden
Brian FlanaganOctober 23, 2015
It’s me, Mario!

Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman speculated on who the next Miami Hurricanes head coach could be if the program parts ways with Al Golden in the coming months.

The Miami grad’s most viable option? Mario Cristobal, a current assistant coach under Nick Saban at Alabama.

“In light of Al Golden — who I don’t think is a bad coach, I just think he’s a bad fit at Miami — I think it’s imperative Miami hire somebody with deep connections to South Florida,” Feldman said on his Fox Sports podcast, “and a real grasp of what Miami is and what Miami has been about and that’s why I would say to me Mario Cristobal was my most viable option there. He’s a guy who was a starting offensive lineman and won national titles at Miami. He was an assistant at Miami. He also has head coaching experience because he turned around what was the worst FBS program at FIU, got them to a bowl game. They won a bowl game. Then they had all kinds of issues with the administration. He is a great recruiter on Nick Saban’s staff and he’s more plugged into South Florida than any coach in college football. I would say he’s on top of my list and he would also not cost a fortune.

“I don’t know if Rob Chudzinski, who was a former Miami player and has been in the NFL a lot. He’s very well respected by a lot of the old Miami players. I think he’s somebody they would consider. Greg Schiano coached there. I’m not sure how much support Greg would have but I think he’d be a better fit than Al Golden was.”

Feldman’s dream scenario? “I would want Jimmy Johnson to come back.”

Not happy myself but it would be one way to clean this program up from all of its faygot fans who root against the team. So that would be a major plus and might be worth the 500K he will get in head coaching fees.

The thought that this admin is going to get a top notch coach is just laughable.

Our hope is getting someone who knows he don't know and pulls in great coordinators.

Do an internet search for Mario Cristobal, and look at his HC record at FIU.

Then, do the same search for Justin Fuente, and look at his record at Memphis.

If you think Fuente's record is garbage, or inflated by coaching in a horrible conference ... Please explain why Cristobal would be a quality hire, when his record is considerably worse than Fuente.

As for the NFL hiring thing ... Kiffin was an NFL HC. So was Marc Tressman. So what Joe Philbin. That doesn't matter!

Bruce went to Miami at the same time as Cristobal and Bruce gave Mario a lot of ink when he was at FIU so I'm sure they have a relationship. Take this with a grain of salt

THIS! Cristobal will not be here, period. He ****ed off MANY people at the top while here. He flat out crapped on us for Bama, and constantly negatively recruited against us. I doubt he'll be here.

Feldman has lost his **** mind. We need a proven winner not another Randy Shannon.

That's a dumbest logic ever.
By that logic we should hire Shannon back because spent a year working for Gary Patterson.
