We run a system where we need older, developed guys to play in order for it to work. Yet this supposed infusion of talent is going to help us improve a lot on defense this year.

One of the funniest "arguments" on this board right now.

Problem is, we still have people who don't know WTF we're doing on defense and think this is the old scheme where a kid like Jackson can come in and occasionally contribute off the edge.

We're still trying to get McCord out of the "situational" role and y'all think skinny *** Jackson is gonna come in and assume that position as a freshman? Smh

Demetrius will neva be any gud cause da staff needs to be fired and da schemezzz need to be changed. Til dat happens he done screwed playin in D'no's defense.

This ain't high school anymore.

Just cause he ran around a few garbage *** high school offensive tackles doesn't mean he's ready for college football.

A kid like him needs a ton of development. Chad Thomas is way ahead of him physically and we don't even know if HE is gonna be able to contribute in this defense as a freshman.

Redshirting is so 1990. If he can play, play him. No way he is worse than some of the crap we have been fielding this decade

No, it's not an antiquated mentality. You play guys who are ready...period. This kid ain't ready to play D1A ball.

Yeah well we have a #44 already in Walter Tucker so unless tucker is going to give up that #44 Jackson will have to wait.

Tucker flips between RB and LB so I doubt they let Jackson duplicate the jersey #. Not to mention certain numbers at UM are special and should only worn by special players not handed out just because, but rather earned. I do think Jackson will be a very good player at UM in time, once he adjust to the college game.

Go Canes.

This cat is unreal.

Clown is going to state some numbers are special, and shouldn't just be handed out to anyone. Yet opens his post off mentioning Walter Tucker wearing 44.

Chad Thomas will contribute this year I believe.

Al should coach like his job is on the line. If he redshirts a stud he's an idiot

Stop, your telling me this kid is ready? Fans are being idiots if they actually believe that.

If he can help us average less than 500 yards per game then play his ***. Some of you act like we are fielding FSU's D next year.

If we don't start redshirting guys that need it we never will have a roster to rival FSU.
