Demetrius Is Gonna Be Special

You guys act like I expect him to be JPP day one. Our defense is the worst in Miamis history and we can't find ONE thing for this guy to do?? Not one?

What is he gonna do?

He can't play the run.

And he can't be a situational pass rusher cause that's McCord and AQM's role.

So when and where do you put his skinny, undeveloped, no-technique-having *** at?

Special teams. Play him in any second half against teams like Bethune. Not rocket science cityboy

You put him on the practice squad and let him bulk and learn the game much like T. McCord should have.

If he can make just this one tackle all year, play him and then crown him.

You're right, it's not rocket science.

It's retarded.

That's terrible logic. Kid has only played football for a year. You teach him the game and don't rush him.

Demetrius is a no question redshirt. He's playing the same spot currently manned by Muhammed, McCord, and Harris. He's not going to see playing time over them and needs time in the weight room and practice field.

You people are funny. We cant redshirt like fsu because we dont have the talent they have. Our talent level sucked so bad that we needed young talent to come in and play, we need talent on special teams to make plays. If you guys remember Sean Taylor, Andre Johnson, Antrell Rolle, etc all played on special teams their first year at Miami.

There's finally enough depth at DE that we can RS a kid like Jackson. He might be eminently talented, but there's no way a kid who only played his Senior year in HS football is going to be ready to play. Let the kid work, watch, learn, and be ready to go in 2015. Both he and UM will be better off that way.

Only 4 true frosh played on the 2001 team. The rest of the class was redshirted (something like 19 more guys)

You forgot about Chad Thomas.
Personally, I think pretty much every freshman should redshirt.
They may be big swinging ****s in high school, but this is major college ball.
They may think they are ready for the NFL, but that first week of practice is a rude awakening.

In reality if we don't redshirt 90% of incoming freshmen it means 2 things: our depth sucks or we have an unbelievable freshmen class.
We may redshirt only 70-80% because that's what happens when you have self imposed scholarship reductions for 3 years in a row.

People forget we've played down something like 10% scholarship players each year the past 3 years.
This year we are actually only playing 3 players down compared to 9 last year, which is why we have a legitimate depth chart for the first time in like 3 years without relying heavily on freshmen and cast off transfers.

1st time in a while we will have legitimate 2 deep Miami level talent at pretty much every position.
Going to shut the mouths of most of you haters.
The die hard haters can just go Fuuck off.
