I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you all may be underestimating this job. FsU had exactly one bad hire since Bowden and they remedied that in less than 2 years. They aren't Miami with wash, rinse, repeat since Davis left. The boosters have taken over and they will get a good coach. That is an attractive job and with any sort of competency FsU does recruit itself. Dumbass Jimbo's problem was he wanted it to be an SEC school with SEC power and money. It just ain't that school and probably never will be because UF is that school in Florida. But as Jimbo proved FSU is more than capable of winning a Natty in this environment. Hopefully Manny pans out long term because FsU didn't flinch when they realized they had a dog sh*t coach. The question is what do we do.
Pure comedy....

Would this be FSU's version of Randy Shannon? Just asking..... and yes I agree with the poster earlier if DS is hired you wont have to worry about the defensive backfield tackling anyone.

I thought this was somehow a joke becaut it's so dumb.....but it's real. Blake James may not be the worst AD in history after all. Deion has only coached a little bit of high school football and he was fired from one team for allegedly assaulting a staffer. Perfect fit!
Deion and Levitt would be a match made in heaven. The Tally police would set a precinct in the locker room.

Or it could be like Memphis hiring Penny Hardaway who secured the #1 recruiting class in the Country and has Memphis ranked #14.

Basketball is a much different sport, where athletes can win by just being athletes. Little coaching is really required outside of certain sets and game situations once a coaches offense/defense is installed.

Football is a whole other animal with counter attacks and adjustments made throughout.

Nahhhh Bro, basketball is harder to teach than football. Why do you think the transition from basketball to football is easier...

How do you figure? Basketball.....see ball, shoot ball. Don't let guys drive past you. Easy. There's little contact allowed. Athletes and shooting win.

Football.....foot placement, hand placement, on field rules, offensive/defensive calls, audibles, option routes, zone concepts, blitz pickup, hot routes, alignments, motions, guys working together.

In basketball, it's 5 guys. Football it's 22. You can hit on 3 and be a stud BBall team. You can hit on 12 and still suck in football.

Yeah, but in football it's 6 second intervals, whereas in basketball you can go 7-8 minutes before you get a timeout or a foul call...and in basketball you have to play offense and defense. Basketball is harder.
