Dear FSU...

This at least is a sensible question. Ohio State, in this scenario will have had to have beaten #6 Penn State and #11 Michigan, probably one of those teams twice. With what's left on our schedule, I wouldn't exactly call it a lock either way. I could definitely see them using the "Alabama softened them up for Miami," excuse to put one of those teams in ahead of us.

Again, in this scenario, it all depends on how FSU's season goes. It's a long shot scenario, but they all are. I actually think that ESPN and the rest of the sports media consider us a second tier ACC team behind Clemson, FSU, and Louisville, and my prediction is that the Atlantic is going to cannibalize itself this year between those three and NC State bouncing one or two of them on the sheer strength of their defense. I could definitely see us in the ACCCG against a 9-3 FSU/Clemson/Louisville, and I'm not willing to wait on that to be our signature win of the season.

This ************...

We haven't won 10 games in 13 years, reached the ACCCG in just as many, beat FSU in 8 or looked anything like a decent team for more than the past 8 months or so.

And now you're concerned with what the committee will think if we run the table and win the ACC?

Just stfu already, please.

Alright, I'll bite. How many years has it been since what you're hoping for actually took place, Mr. I hope FSU loses every game? How many years has it been since FSU lost every game?

Tell me.

FSU is going to win some games. They have never NOT won some games. Ever. It is not cheering for FSU to realize that they can't lose them all, so why not let the ones they win benefit us all. If you're so **** confident that we're not going to amount to much this season, and that winning against FSU is our ceiling, and we better **** hope that Alabama stomps their a$$ and injures a few key players for us to have a chance in that one, why the **** are you calling for me to be banned? Why don't you leave and come back next year when or whatever year you think we'll be once again capable of playing the best teams and beating the best teams.

Because I think it's this year.

Saying I hope FSU loses every game doesn't actually ****ing mean I think it's going to happen. FSU is going to win some games...no ****ing ****. We're simply saying we ****ing hate them and wish to see them lose as much as possible. Can you ****ing comprehend that?

I'm not saying I don't think we can have a good season, I think we will. And I think we can beat FSU. The point everyone is trying to make is that if we take care of our business, we're in. Period. But you want to bring in 1,000 hypotheticals and argue with everyone who is telling you to stop wasting your ****ing time on that.

Oh shut up you miserable, underdeveloped ****. Nobody is trying to have a conversation with you about things that will never happen. Grown folks are trying to talk about things that are going to actually occur and discuss which would be more beneficial to Miami, not your fantasy world where all the teams you hate lose every game and all the people who disagree with you get banned so you never have to hear an opposing viewpoint.

1. Get a job.
2. Go **** your self.
3. Have fun rooting for FSU ****breath.

Who gives a rats *** about FSU? The season hasn't even started and some of you seem to think it's a ONE GAME season. Stop with the constant FSU hype.

I've been reading these posts and I'm somewhat confused. Or, maybe I'm just old. Because I remember there was a time when Miami fans wanted to give Florida State their first lost. Now, it appears that the younger Miami fans are scared of playing an undefeated Florida State.

Well, I'm sorry. I like the idea of going to Tallahassee to face an undefeated Florida State team and kicking their Asses. In fact, I would gladly take that every year.
I'm a little shocked by it too. They talk about recruits/players not wanting competition when they choose another school or transfer, but these posters only want to play teams they believe can't beat us; a schedule full of Bethune Cookman is what they would love. They're the ones afraid of competition. And they want to define who Canes fans are? They don't speak for me.

Huge leap being taken here. ****** analysis, by a ****** poster that cheers for two sides of a rivalry. Go figure.

I'm with OP. I hope FSU somehow wins against Bama. Obviously it would make our matchup with them all the more significant. More importantly, if they lose, they will absolutely be ready for us. I would prefer they not have the benefit of losing, if you know what I mean, before they play us. GO CANES!!

We're their historical arch nemesis. They're going to be ready to play us no matter what the **** happens in their first two games.

I don't mean mentally/emotionally ready. Obviously both teams will be ready in that regard because of the rivalry.

Strategically, however, all else being equal, FSU would get stronger by losing to Bama. Good teams that lose, especially early in the season, tend to regroup and strengthen the areas of weakness that were exposed in the loss. I would prefer not to play that FSU team.

I would rather play an FSU team that perhaps is resting in their laurels a bit or that maybe hasnt completely figured themselves out yet.

Please provide a statistical analysis to back this up please. Thank you. Oh, I also find it hard to believe that a team that just beat Bama on a neutral field is going to have a real tough time "figuring themselves out".

OP should be forced to stand in front of a securely fastened cannon and let a lucky CIS poster fire a cannonball into him.

Amen, homie. I don't get it. The series was made because both teams were talented. And they usually came into that game undefeated ranked in the top 10. Now, these young scary fans are intimidated by that. You **** right I want FSU undefeated when we play. Because that gives us a chance to knock their *** off that number one spot just like we used to. I want the Rivalry to mean something again.

I never remember wanting fsu to make it to us undefeated. I have and always will root for fsu, UF, Osu and Nd to lose every week.

And I'm not a younger fan , I go back to the 80's.

Dear FSU,

I hope you lose every ******* game. Not just lose every game but get embarrassed every game, especially the nationally televised ones. I hope you lose so much cuckbo's hair plugs fall out. I want you to lose so bad that your entire program becomes a dumpster fire and no recruit worth a **** gives your program any thought. May your ****** hoe bags that fvck their way to front row seats give your entire team a case of syphilis so bad that even the most potent vaccines can't cure it. Fvck you and may your season be one of agony.

We have way too many fans who are fans for the "swagger", for the "30 for 30" but not for the cause, which was whooping *** everywhere at any time and FSU was the only team that consistently met that bar. If we could only play one game a season, for me, it would be FSU. These new fans don't mind playing on Thursday and Friday nights...

I don't think we should play Bethune, Toledo or App. State. I feel we should play mid majors like Kentucky, South Carolina, West Virginia, Iowa & Colorado for the easy part of our schedule. We should play UFag at home in Tampa or Orlando & Notre Dame at their place, both every year. Hats of to the Semenholes for not running from us when we were the sh*t, and I'd like to have Bama, LSU, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, USC & UCLA on rotation.
Anybody, Any Place, Any Where!

Man, we back!

Bro, I don't think you understand what a "mid-major" school is. All those you listed are from P5 conferences. Mid-Majors, correct me if I'm wrong, are FBS schools from the G5 conferences.

You have P5's in there as mid-majors...but I get your point. However, if it were up to me we would never play that team with their own network (NBC), and no ACC team should. That's how they ruined the Big East and enriched themselves. They shouldn't be allowed to play for a National Championship until they join a conference, and no P5 school should play them until that happens. I agree with Briles on that.

In no form or fashion could I ever root for the seminoles, under any circumstances.

What if there was one team holding the Canes from playing in a National Championship, and that team was playing FSU to determine your fate. If FSU beat the roadblock, Miami advances to the title game. Would you root for us then?

No.

Whatever's gonna happen, is gonna happen.

Never any reason to root for the Holes or Turds.
