Dear FSU...

I've been reading these posts and I'm somewhat confused. Or, maybe I'm just old. Because I remember there was a time when Miami fans wanted to give Florida State their first lost. Now, it appears that the younger Miami fans are scared of playing an undefeated Florida State.

Well, I'm sorry. I like the idea of going to Tallahassee to face an undefeated Florida State team and kicking their Asses. In fact, I would gladly take that every year.
I'm a little shocked by it too. They talk about recruits/players not wanting competition when they choose another school or transfer, but these posters only want to play teams they believe can't beat us; a schedule full of Bethune Cookman is what they would love. They're the ones afraid of competition. And they want to define who Canes fans are? They don't speak for me.

Amen, homie. I don't get it. The series was made because both teams were talented. And they usually came into that game undefeated ranked in the top 10. Now, these young scary fans are intimidated by that. You **** right I want FSU undefeated when we play. Because that gives us a chance to knock their *** off that number one spot just like we used to. I want the Rivalry to mean something again.

People aren't saying that they don't want to play FSU if they beat Alabama. I think they are saying that they won't be pulling for FSU to beat Alabama, but will be ready to play them and beat the **** out of them whether they win, lose, or draw. At least that's how I see it. I enjoy beating them clowns whether they are #1 or Unranked.

It's one thing to root for FSU to beat Bama, but it sounds like some of yall will be disappointed if FSU loses.

That's the part I don't get. I don't think it'll make a difference one way or the other if they are undefeated or not when we play them.

The 7 games in row hasn't been mentioned enough by those of you on the other side of this argument, that's the part you're overlooking.

If we finally end the streak this year, how many of you that are going to be rooting for them vs Bama are going to be upset that they weren't undefeated instead of just being happy that we finally beat them?

In no form or fashion could I ever root for the seminoles, under any circumstances.

What if there was one team holding the Canes from playing in a National Championship, and that team was playing FSU to determine your fate. If FSU beat the roadblock, Miami advances to the title game. Would you root for us then?

No, because if that were the case then odds are we lost a game earlier in the season that made us rely on such an outcome.

All these people care about is the stakes of the Miami - FSU game on the night of September 16th.

A lot of them have saved up a bunch of money to travel to Tallahassee and attend this game. For them, it means the whole season. They're the same type of Kendall/Hialeah degenerates who crawl out from underneath their Nissan Altimas every two years and attend the FSU game at HRS.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Now here is a hot take that I can get behind

I don't know if I'm on that "side" you speak of but I want to play and beat the best. The best on our schedule is FSU. And as it was rationally pointed out, they're not going to lose every game. There's really nothing else to "get".

As far as "if we finally end the streak this year, how many of you that are going to be rooting for them vs Bama are going to be upset that they weren't undefeated instead of just being happy that we finally beat them?" Count me out as being satisfied to beat FSU. In my Chris Rock voice, "WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BEAT FSU!" I'd love to beat them 3x this year, but I'll take twice (I would rather BEAT FSU for ACCCG than Clemson or Louisville). How's that for breaking the streak?

Satisfaction is playing in the CFP. Satisfaction is winning it all. I won't be satisfied until those things happen. Unrealistic? Possibly. But I did make a $20 bet with 10 minutes to go when Miami played Michigan in Ann Arbor in '88. Yes, I'm THAT fan.

Breaking FSU heart is part of what made The U, The U. And they have to have something to play for to break their heart. If you count not losing to Miami as something to play for then you're more broken up about the Shalala/Coker/Shannon/Golden years than I thought. Derailing their Championship ambitions? After they've beaten Bama? Now THAT'S how you **** em up!

Go ahead and hate FSU and/or UF, but there's just another team on our schedule that I reserve ALL of MY hate for.

I hope FSU loses every game except to UF

UF just lose every game

OSU lose every game

Miami Take everything, and reclaim that number 1 spot

F$U beating Bama is good for us. The current Playoff/NY6 format is centered around conference strength. A playoff/NY6 berth for any ACC team is good for Miami, because it means more money. Obviously I want Miami to be that team, but the ACC getting respect as a football conference will only benefit us once its our time.

The genius of that game is that I feel like a winner either way.

Proof positive OP is an effeminate cuck.

The all-time CIS most obvious troll agrees with his take that we should cheering for and asking FSU pretty please to win.

they will lose to bama no doubt but will probably still be top 15 when we play them, what will be sweet is giving them their 2nd loss and knocking them out of the top 25

NCAA loves fsu, they lose to bama. They don't drop past 7th in the rankings.

Miami knocks off #1 Florida State sounds a lot better to me.

You also like the idea of every recruit in the nation watching FSU knock of #1 Alabama. I hate that idea
Look, I'm old school. I get it that you younger canes are timid. However, I have no problem with Florida State beating Bama and then two weeks later we knock off Florida State. Those same recruits that would see Florida State beat Alabama would then see Miami beat Florida State. How is that not a positive for Miami?

What am I missing, Young Homie?
