In UM history or to come out of UM? Because he was just better than average and sometimes great when he was here. I know injuries and all that but it was what it was.
One of the things that got Tyrone Moss to lose weight for 05 was Soldinger telling him "we aren't going to start anymore overweight backs." Referencing Gore
I certainly can respect the opinion even though it greatly diminishes the accomplishments of the several other people in this discussion. For me it's between Frank & edge. Personal opinion I'd take edge each and every time. But it's just a personal preference. Frank was a monster, Willis was a monster and so was Clint. Hard to hold each of them simply at their own merits when they each had very different circumstances.
Sarge told him word for word get your fat *** off my field until you get your weight right. Sarge didn't cottle anyone. In UM history or to come out of UM? Because he was just better than average and sometimes great when he was here. I know injuries and all that but it was what it was.

If we're just talking um you gotta throw some other bulls in the arena. Frank definitely wouldn't be in this conversation if we're just talking about college years(I thought it was as a whole) just um you gotta talk McMillan,Stewart, Zo, Bennet, Foreman,oj,Ferguson. That's off the top of my head. Probably Willis or edge as the #1 leaning edge way cause Willis really only had one year. He just snapped that one year. **** I didn't even think about Duke.Gore got unlucky with injuries here, which turned into apathy and getting fat.
Even a fat and out of shape Frank Gore showed flashes of his greatness on a very bad team.
Edge, I can’t argue. He was a monster on a depleted and sanctioned roster. For me he comes in second place. He was the guy who started the second wave of Miami program. Unfortunately, it only lasted 7-years.
1aOtis AndersonDoesn’t necessarily need to be the most prolific Miami career.

I agree Edge gets the nod but I'm confused by this part of what you said.Edge had best balance of beast college and pro career. Gore has best nfl career
He absolutely Loved Najeh....he always said he was the best of all of them. (Pre-injury of course)Sarge told him word for word get your fat *** off my field until you get your weight right. Sarge didn't cottle anyone.
His frosh year averaged 9 yards a pop.2001 Frank Gore was the most explosive Miami back I’ve ever seen.
