Corn Elder laughs at "South Florida" talent

Is this the new thing among Golden supporters? South Florida players suck? lmao

These people will go to no lengths to defend this guy. **** on actual UM players, **** on future UM players . . . whatever it takes to absolve Golden.

Except that I am far from a Golden supporter. That's how dumb you are. If someone disagrees with ANYTHING, then they must be a Golden supporter. "The D played pretty good Saturday". Golden slurper. "The crowd got into it the other night." Golden slurper. "There are great players all over the country." Golden slurper.

That's literally the depth of your thinking ability.

Why is this guy still talking abouy Oklahoma? He really doesnt get that the problem is that miami is sitting on elite talent and doing nothing with it. Nobody said you cant win championships if your recruiting base isnt from so fla. do you even know what youre trying to prove or nah?

Thanks to the out of state weirdos for weighing in on the most talented area for football talent on earth.

Get back to me after you browse the rosters from Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, and Oklahoma. Thanks.

Alabama bought a billboard in downtown Miami. You think they did that to attract new fans? On a related note, the best player on their team is from Miami.

Auburn has recruited Miami heavily for years. Their best defensive player is from Jackson High. Oregon and Oklahoma have perennially fallen short of greatness, but the Sooners did have the 2000 run to the title. The MVP of the title game? Torrance Marshall. From Miami.

Alabama's best player is from Geismar, Louisiana.

It's good that you only had to go back 14 years to find that guy for Oklahoma. How about the 1970's? Any guys from that decade?

Go ahead and pick and choose one guy here and there from south Florida while ignoring 85-man rosters that seem to be doing just fine dominating the country with 99% of their guys from somewhere other than south Florida.

So much for the future.

"Antwan" is DreadnaughtCane/TitanCane. He's the guy who was a fervent Coker and Shannon supporter and talked down to everybody who had an opinion that wasn't "Jim Morris is God" on the baseball board. I see he's now switched his opinion on that, LOL. He got so rustled he threatened to throw a poster off the balcony of the Georgia Dome back in 2005. Total dumbass, no surprise that nothing he's saying here is making sense.

Uh Oklahoma doesn't have South Florida players so South Florida players are too dumb to play college football. How does that make any sense?

Will do, then I'll double back around and tell every NFL front office they got it wrong, the city of Miami should not be producing the most players in their league, and to drop everyone born here immediately. Thanks for the homework. I just hope I can warn them before it's too late.

When you join us here in the future, you will realize that the bulk of Miami-based NFL players came from here in the early 2000's. We can't recruit those people anymore. If you cared about using relevant statistics, you would accept my challenge and look at the rosters of the best college teams in America. They couldn't care less about South Florida.

Tennessee dude is starting to make the SF kids look like a damned joke in the secondary.

Lol look at the depth chart or better yet look around CFB at SF corners that got away........but Corn is a baller and great athlete that can hold his own in any region.......but in SF we do this football thang better than any region in the country

Until Miami starts winning some meaningful games, I don't really believe that. South Florida likes to puff its chest out and say they're the best region in the country for football, but where's the actual proof of that?

Maybe it was true at one time. Nowadays though, seems to me like a lot of South Florida's best players end up being busts in college, and part of that is because they have a diva mentality and they don't want to work hard anymore and they don't want to do the little things (like tackling) right.

Kids from Georgia and Alabama have owned college football for the last decade. Whatever it was that put the dog in the kids from south florida back in the 80's and 90's seems to have been replaced with a diva mentality, an entitlement mentality, and that doesn't make for winning football

-57 players drafted from South Florida in the past 3 years, more than any other metropolitan region in the country
-US cities with the most NFL players: #1) Miami and #2) Ft. Lauderdale.

But hey, I'm sure your assessment of South Florida players was right on point!

To be fair, most of North Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana (SEC country, more or less) would not count as "metropolitan" areas, so they wouldn't even be represented in that study.

Miami as a city is several times bigger than any other city in the south except Atlanta.

Anyway, 57 players drafted from S Fl in the last 3 years is nothing to sneeze at. Show me a link proving that because I'd be interested in seeing it.

Because Miami has had 3 straight worthless coaches the region's talent is overrated. That settles it.

There's literally a link in this very thread showing that's SoFla has the top 2 cities in the country when it comes to sending players to the highest level of football played.

"Al golden can't land recruits and his defense has sucked, uh, clearly SoFla kids are divas and they can't tackle."

So ******* what? The point is that there's a ****load of talented players down here. I don't care how big the "city" is. More elite players for us and the schools who have good South Florida contacts. I'm not doing your homework for you. Go back through this thread and read.

Hey bro Oklahoma isn't littered with South Florida players, therefore South Florida kids suck at football. AntwanJ is right and all the NFL GM's and college coaches who try their best to gain ground down here are wrong.

These people will go to no lengths to defend this guy. **** on actual UM players, **** on future UM players . . . whatever it takes to absolve Golden.

Nobody is saying south florida players SUCK, but what I'm saying is that puffing our chests out and claiming that South Florida players are the best in the country and acting like it's not even close is a little naïve at this point, since we haven't won anything in over a decade, and even our 2001 team was made up of a lot of non SO FLA kids like Dorsey, Ed Reed, Shockey, Portis, etc.

The "average" elite SF baller that doesnt take their grades seriously (to UM's admissions standard) will do just enough to make it into a state school...ijs

Example: Duke, Denzel payed attn in school, as those are guys with a sense of purpose, and gifted with football talent as well, so they were able to come in with no problems.

A guy like Stacey Coley who could have went anywhere had to make it in by his chinny chin chin...He's more of an Example of a typical SF guy, and it took all he had to get here.

Dont knock the SF talent without taking into consideration all of the factors involved.

Again, why do you clowns think this proves anything? There aren't unlimited amounts of high BCS level players down here. UM couldn't fill its team with good enough players if all they did was recruit South Florida. Nobody is saying that UM shouldn't recruit from anywhere else. There's this new meme on this board though, among the Golden slurpers, that South Florida kids are too dumb/suck/whatever word you want to use.

It's not really "naive" considering there's independent, verifiable facts that show that South Florida produces a ridiculous amount of elite talent. If you want to debate it, go argue with the NFL GM's and tell them to stop drafting so many south florida players and tell all the other schools to stop hiring coaches with South Florida ties and recruiting down here.

I'll look for that link because I'd be interested to see it. I'm not dug in, I'm openminded to the possibility that I'm wrong and I'll look in to it more.

My thing is though, everyone just assumes that south florida talent is so much better than everywhere else, then you've got SEC teams with maybe one or two kids on their entire roster from South Florida that would wipe the floor with us and it's been that way for the past decade, so to me something doesn't add up.

Blaming it all on coaching seems far fetched, I mean if we're that much more talented than everyone else you'd think we could at least win the coastal with talent alone.

I'm not saying South Florida doesn't produce a lot of talent, I'm questioning if we really produce more talent than the rest of the South.

Also keep in mind that we don't produce a lot of offensive and defensive linemen, tight ends, and recently, even our local linebackers aren't that good. You can't field a team of running backs and wide receivers and cornerbacks.

And that plays in to it.

Not the what he posted but this paints a good picture for you where the talent comes from http://www.maxpreps.com/news/rtk0-D...at-have-produced-the-most-nfl-draft-picks.htm
