Perhaps Norton and McIntosh weren't terribly happy with him as the coach and that contributed to their leaving early.

But he can coach. And in two more recruiting seasons we'd be running a front one formation because that's about all the DL we'd have left on the team - except for a couple grad xfers from Alaska Anchorage.

Birmingham paper reporting that DL position @ Bama was between Kool & Partridge.

I didn't see any different from Kul than from the other coaches on our staff. We are Miami, players are always everywhere. We need a coach like the others on the staff, recruiters and teachers.
 
Maybe there was a ask by our head coach, they paid him a bunch more money last off-season and gave him a bigger title. Yet he recruited like isht, he pushed out one of our top recruits, in DJ, and two underclassmen who are not guaranteed anything good left. We have a staff of recruiters and teachers and he failed miserably at recruiting.

And people whine about recruits taking bags or playing the game?

This industry will try to prevent Sheriffs from transferring for a better opportunity, but Kool can do whatever the **** he wants for a buck. How many recruit's homes did he walk in and talk about being a family and **** like that when he was on recruiting trips? How many promises broken?

Not surprised. It just reinforces to me what this Association is really about and the values it really has --- A league run by a bunch of mercenaries.

Honestly, Bama makes complete sense to me for Kul. He can do what he loves, which is coach the DL, while the 50 other on field and off field coaches and administrators can handle the recruiting. We know Richt isn't messing around so he's not just going to hire some guy. He'll hire a stud coach and recruiter.

there were some discussion about how he actually recruited at Missouri. from where I sit, bring in someone that will recruit and teach. We can't rely strictly on south florida dlinemen. guy did absolutely nothing recruiting wise for three years.

Not all that upset about this to be honest. Was really disappointed with the way he was recruiting.

My main concern moving forward is that Richt hires someone with experience because our defensive staff right now is very young

it doesn’t matter how good of a coach he is if he can’t recruit kids to the coach! The way to a natty is via recruiting first and his recruiting track record is horrible. We need someone that can recruit and coach if not we’ll continue with the trend of loosing our best local kids going somewhere else to play.

He can actually recruit, develop and coach.

WR is by far our deepest group on the team now - and there is quality with the depth. See how easy that is?

He was the best actual coach, this means on the field and development. He is probably one of the best DL coaches in the country. He may not be the best recruiter but the guy constantly puts out the best with what he has. His track record is incredible and he did it all at a school that doesn't have our talent.

Is anyone shocked that Alabama wants him? You know the best program in the country wants one of the best DL coaches.
