@F5_Chad Thomas tells @DavidFurones90 after loooong pause: "Ain't nothing happened.''

So I'm guessing he got suspended by the staff for some reason. What a nightmare Golden and Co are. Almost impossible to **** up a prospect like Chad and we are well on our way.

but.... but.... we dont have talent here.... Maybe it's not been an issue with talent, but just bad coaches wasting talent.

We finally have the talent. The result isn't any different.

can we get some real inside information as to what goes on in this program? someone who's gonna tell the truth

I'm not worried about him being a playmaker tommorow night I'm worried this will be the beginning of the end of his career at the U I just hope it's personal nothing that is gonna derail his football career

derail like him transfering to team who uses him right and doesnt have him covering WR?

Exactly

Unless you actually see Chick covering a WR stop making **** up. He plays Chick's position. "Covering WRs" in zone is what McCord and Harris do about 3-4 times a game.

Playing Chick's position is probably worse than Thomas playing LB and having to cover WRs. He's a 4-3 DE all the way who should be playing on the end of the LOS where he's able to exploit OTs by using his athletic ability. Not playing the same position of a 280 lb DE where he has to 2-gap and take away any athletic advantage he'd have over OTs. He should be doing what Aldon Smith is doing, not Justin Smith.

Chad knew the deal when he signed. He knew he wasn't gonna be a pure 4-3 end. So did we. Kid is already 255-260. He wasn't an option at the position in this defense that we assume best suits his skills currently. Rush End. Certainly not when he's a junior and 270-275. Changing the scheme to fit his talents and other players in south Florida is another discussion.

Don't hold me to this but.....I'm hearing his cousin's auntie twice removed that lives in Patterson, NJ has the flu. Chad as good as gone to go attend to this. I wish him well. God bless. Our loss is Rutgers gain.

Just because he'll be 270+ by the time he leaves doesn't mean he's best used as a DE in our scheme. Just look at Jadaveon Clowney playing LB for Houston (who runs a much more aggressive 3-4 where he wouldn't be 2-gapping) or Julius Peppers who's 290 playing OLB for GB's 3-4.

Under no circumstance should Thomas be 2-gapping as a DE.

He's supposedly wearing a hurricanes shirt and shorts at the game tonight so take that for what its worth

one of two things

1: Chad is being punished for something

2: the staff is really, really, stupid and incompetent.

Chad Thomas is fine. Everyone calm down

Meh, Your stud DE should be traveling with the team. I'm just tired of the **** show that is this coaching staff. **** near every week they have something going on that screams incompetence. Even if this turns out to be nothing, I'm Just done with them.

You really do swallow Golden's balls don't you. You must be a functional ****** to believe half the **** you post.

You're one dumb ***. I don't think you can find one post of mine that says Golden is the right guy for this program. If we're talking in reality and not the fantasy world where they see the light and change to a 4-3 attacking man press defense overnight where the *** is Chad Thomas gonna play in the current defense? You planning on putting him on a diet so he stays under 265 his whole time at Miami?

The Golden brigade leader is really salty, guys.

There you go again, fin with weight. Jadaveon Clowney is playing LB for Houston right now at 265+

GB took Julius Peppers and he's playing OLB in their 3-4 at 290.

STFU about weight.

It was even said that had Thomas went to Alabama Nick Saban would use him in their rush OLB role like Courtney Upshaw who's playing OLB for the Ravens at 272.

Again, STFU about weight.

unless he had some minor injury and he wasn't going to play.. but even then I will still take him to experience the atmosphere.

maybe school stuff? I will very very upset if we don't develop this kid in to a monster.

I'm not arguing about what he should be doing. I'm just talking about what he would have to do here. Maybe he would be great at doing what they ask McCord to do. It doesn't appear(right or wrong) that he fits the mold size-wise of guys they want at that position.

You're talking about proven freaks of nature. Chad is an all world recruit but he wasn't even the most athletic guy on his DL. That guy looks to be redshirting.
