In the past I would say wins and losses were highly overrated when it comes to recruiting. It’s important of course but not to the level where some of us make it out to be.
But I really do feel like this is the most important on field season we’ve had in recent memory.
If we flop, our goodwill will most certainly be gone. Any momentum we thought we had, out the window.
Mario is a national recruiter and in order to get those guys consistently, and pull DTs away from the SEC consistently, you have to win. If Mario wins here, there is no limit to what we can do recruiting wise.
We’ve been a program that consistently flirts with W-L swings because we are always in tight games that could flip on a play or two.
I think kids like this know we are nowhere near Clemsons level yet, but the point is to show them we are heading that way quickly and they can be a part of it.
