Brevin Jordan Misuse

We have been using him to block more lately which could be a reason for lack of targets. He’s not the only receiver who was affected by lack of an efficient passing game after the va tech game. He has been misused from the uva to Pitt game as he was barely even targeted. But he Was well on his way to a big day against FSU but he was held out of the game for much if not all of the second half. And the uf tight end is pretty good but he’s only averaging 12 yards a reception while Brevin is averaging 14 yards a reception
Fans freak out because Enos won’t help out his linemen.

Enos helps out his linemen and fans freak out about the use of the TEs.

For the people saying Brevin needs more touches and Targets....y'all realize we cant just simply run more plays right? He would have to be stealing those designed plays from someone else. We average 35 passes a game.

Thank you;

The OL has been playing better b/c they’ve gone more towards a max protect to keep their QB upright. Both Mallory & Jordan have been helping much more than before. Unfortunately we don’t have the OL to just stone 5 on 4 football; so it’s either B Jordan gets his and we start losing, or B Jordan’s #’s start tapering down to help keep drives alive and we start winning.

When we get the OL issues completely fixed, B Jordan will have far, far better numbers. He’s being a great team guy, right now.

Each of our weapons need 15 touches duh

I am not saying to stop that at all. I understand that it is needed. However, in the redzone and 3rd down, you need to find someone else to chip/stay into block. Brevin needs to be out on a route. KJ has been the only WR to win his redzone matchups regularly. So I would be okay with taking Wiggins off the field in those situation

We’ve had a bad , inexperienced ol. Now why has our pass game struggled at times ? Hmmmm?

Brevin and Dallas are constantly staying in or chipping, not sure what some of you have been watching all year.

To add to your point, Mallory is most certainly not the same caliber as Brevin but the guy can't be a total bodybag...we were gloating about how our 2 TE's would wreak havoc on the CFB world and our #2 is stuck with 3 receptions for 70 yards and a TD on the season.
Mallory has had inconsistent hands and there's no faster way to get benched then to drop balls.

Brevin should be used just like Zach Ertz...mainly inline where he can get lost at the line and run option routes based on alignment and coverage.

Mallory should be used like Penn St used Gesicki and OU used Mark Andrews.....flexed out, creating mismatches with safeties and LBs.

We don't take advantage of matchups outside the first scripted series. You can't tell me Jarren would prefer to throw to a small target like Harley on 3rd and 5 vs larger catch radius guys like Brevin or Mallory.

Agree, the way Enos uses Mallory is ridiculous. Inline blocking is not his strength yet we ask him to do it a good amount.

We had a Irvin Jr and Polendey package last week vs FSU BTW.

Miami should/could run a lot more plays. Problem is Enos runs the O at a snails pace (92nd in the nation, 68 plays per game, zzzzzzz) and can't convert a 3rd down (dead last in CFB) to save him life.

Enos sucks. Brevin isnt the only one not being used. Deejay isnt used enough, thomas, kj, pope, and etc. Bama #3 and 4 wrs has just as many catches as our #1 and 2.
We have too many good skill weapons to be running this slow plodding offense. We’re not getting enough plays in because we’re going too **** slow.

When you have great depth of skill talent you need to figure out a way to get more plays in. Instead, we milk the play clock down on nearly every snap.

Flat out lie. Bamas 3 and 4 wr have 10+ less catches than kj or brevin. And they have 5 less than jt4. Also bama has thrown a whopping 12 receptions to their starting TE, ours has close to 40.
