Thanks for catching my spelling mistake! Corrected!Did the brain training app teach you to complete sentences in the following fashion?
“The fact that we are I'm 2022 and people still blame the players and make excuses for staff members is just baffling.”
I think on defense it’s still TBD because a bunch of these guys were bad last year. I think on Offense, TVD is in the wrong scheme and the WR’s are subpar. I think the OL looked good prior to the last game. I’m not sure what happened there.
Receivers have been covered for the most part because the scheme and route concepts are awful and require precision timing to work. When they are open TVD has been erratic and generally bad. Both of these things can be true. That said, you can’t convince me that we lose to MTSU with Lashlee coaching these exact same players. We probably beat aTm with a competent OC.
OL was largely a numbers problem last week. MTSU was stacking the box and stuffing our run game because they didn’t have to respect the passing game. Oluwaseun was getting beat pretty regularly though. Not sure why he is starting.I think on defense it’s still TBD because a bunch of these guys were bad last year. It's funny how often fans love to blame the players. Half this board legitimately thinks TVD forgot how to throw or be a QB. Half this board thinks Rooster has regressed because we're running him between the tackles constantly and never actually put him in space where he belongs. Half this board things are mediocre WRs have regressed to be trash because our scheme has 3 WR's run routes into the same 5 yard box allowing 1 DB to cover them at the same time.Yep. Same people blaming the WRs would be the Texas A&M fans still blaming the WR talent 4 years into Jimbo’s scheme for the lack of explosive passing plays every year.
Going into tight sets and trying to run into what could arguably be considered 9 and 10 man boxes is idiotic. It didn't work and we had so many threads and posts afterwards saying our OL should be embarrassed because they clearly didn't want it bad enough. Lmao. Our OL was never going to succeed with last week's gameplan.OL was largely a numbers problem last week. MTSU was stacking the box and stuffing our run game because they didn’t have to respect the passing game. Oluwaseun was getting beat pretty regularly though. Not sure why he is starting.
If you're still an individual that blames the players, you need to stop posting here. Instead, download some brain training apps, or start reading more, just do anything to improve your cognitive ability.

I've seen far too many people all season pointing fingers at players saying they're terrible, excusing coaches constantly. Your posts would be more productive if you just typed in "I'm an idiot" and copied and pasted it 1,000 times. I'd rather scroll a little longer each page due to that than see some of you all compete to see who has an IQ closest to room temperature.
If you blame the players, just stop, you need help.
Exactly
We’re an avg acc teams
Avg acc teams lose to teams like mtsu
It’s rare but it’s not that crazy
That’s my whole point
This isn’t a good roster it’s just avg across the board we don’t have a single day 1-2 level talent on offense
And defense may be Taylor but he’s way to inconsistent
Teams like Clemson have 5 Taylors
We don’t have enough talent to overcome poor play
I came out of my hiatus to say this...If you're still an individual that blames the players, you need to stop posting here. Instead, download some brain training apps, or start reading more, just do anything to improve your cognitive ability.

Again, our players are not perfect, no players are. Our players have limitations that the staff should be aware of. When we do not put them in position to succeed, can we really blame the players? Should we be blaming Mallory for being a terrible blocker after his 19th year of college, or should we question why we ever run anything that depends on him to be a good blocker? When you lose to a team with the talent and coaching gap of MTSU, EVERYONE is to blame. You don't think poor tackling effort, bad body language, heart/effort, etc is on the players? You don't think every player on the OL who was losing their 1:1 matchup to a guy on that MTSU DLine is at fault?
This is part of the problem. Everyone is to blame but everyone spends more time trying to point the finger at someone else or making excuses. If we had players and coaches come out and say we sucked at this, that and the other and we are all responsible, we are all disgusted, this is what we are going to do, etc.....it would make me feel like this is headed in the right direction.
Exactly. Our WRs were literally running INTO coverage in the aTm game. Who coached them to do that? Oh right. It's funny how often fans love to blame the players. Half this board legitimately thinks TVD forgot how to throw or be a QB. Half this board thinks Rooster has regressed because we're running him between the tackles constantly and never actually put him in space where he belongs. GT.As it stands today, besides Duke, what team on schedule would Miami be favored to beat?
Agree 100%. There is no reason we should lose to MTSU at home, away, on a neutral field or on Mars. As I recall, at his post game interview, Mario mentioned that one of the problems the Canes had was MTSU putting 2 and 3 guys in the box and it was hard to run against. Duh! So what we do? Try it again, and again. Our talent is good enough to beat MTSU every time but our coaching scheme on offense isn’t.

What, does Mallory simply not want it bad enough? Are we saying he is a lazy blocker? The dude just sucks at blocking. It is what it is. I know who he is as a player and am not going to sit here and blame him for being put into the positions he is put into on a weekly basis. Whenever we run a play that gets blown up because he lost yet another blocking battle, that's on the staff for still scheming an offense up that requires a player to do something they simply are not capable of.
This team has holes throughout the roster and that was known going into the year. It's why 8 wins was my expectation. I said it in other posts already, but I am fine losing if it's simply because we don't have the horses. I am not fine losing when we continuously try and put a square peg in a round hole. If we were using Rooster, Mallory, Ivey, etc. correctly and they were getting beat, that's fine. You can accept the other guy being better than you. When you're losing to MTSU because you consistently are running into a loaded box and are making zero adjustments to help your players out, that's just terrible coaching.
Agree 100%. But at this point all we can do is hope Ponce and the analysts help Gattis develop a better plan that allows some flexibility based on coverage instead of taking a minute for check with me.Our talent is good enough to beat MTSU every time but our coaching scheme on offense isn’t.
