Blaming the good players

Our OL is young just like Kaaya this year and they get ridiculed. Last year Kaaya had a NFL OL, RB, WR and TE. Kaaya had championship caliber playmakers and had a good freshman season. This year Kaaya has an average OL, average RB, NFL WR and average TE. Kaaya didn't progress and that is a fact. Count how long he holds on to the football when he is hit. Some of those sacks are on him. I hope he gets better but he has been a disappointment this year.

If Brad was a senior and his freshman and sophomore season were his junior and senior season, where would he be drafted? What is his current skill set, not projected?

KAAYA DOES NOT HAVE AN O-LINE !!!! IT'S LIKE POLAND FELT WHEN THE GERMAN ARMY
ROLLED THEM OVER. IN SHORT, GIVE THE KID A BREAK AND GET HIM PROTECTION !!!!!!!

He has progressed. He has gotten better in the pocket, his feet are much better than last year, and his decision making has improved. He still has a lot of things to work on but to say he has regressed is ridicolous and shows fans are not understanding what they are seeing.

That's the problem, he isn't a jr or sr. Let the guy develop. This fan base is so impatient. If a true frosh qb isn't putting the program on his back and winning big games he sucks. Let the **** guy grow and develop.

I guess I was asking how much more does he have to develop to be a NFL QB. I get the point he is a sophomore and progression can be measured between years, so at what point does he need to get to. Is he NFL ready now or are we projecting?

Less sacks than the Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU QB's.

Sacks don't tell the whole story.look up the amount of hurries and qbs hits he has had this year. Even with those he has made some good throws while being hit...

So many on here are emotionally invested in Kaaya. Go watch the games without bias. I don't think he gives us the best chance to win. His record as a starter speaks for itself. How many games do I have to watch with him lose as our quarterback for him to develop into a winner? He had a solid line last year with NFL draft picks, a top running back, a top tight end, a top left tackle, a top wide receiver. He still lost too much. He couldn't win a close game. He couldn't convert the important plays.

You can take those stats to your fantasy league.

Even if he is a development. We don't spend 4 years developing quarterbacks at the U. We win now and reload.

Right. So the problem was Kaaya, not Golden. We should have kept Golden. Thanks.

**** no he isn't nfl ready. Don't know how long it will take it depends on the player. Winston played as a red-shirt frosh, paxton lynch at memphis is a red-shirt jr. Andrew luck left stanford after his rs jr season and cam was a rsjr.

You see there is a pattern. All those guys had a year to just be in the weight room and develop their body and game. Kaaya didn't have that.

He completed 58.5% of his passes last year and is a 61.7% this year. If continued at this pace he should be at 66-67% next year. You should see a leap in year 3 and if not then you can start questioning him.

People act like Miami fans are the ones hyping Kaaya as a first round pick. Kiper, McShay and every other draft pundit says the same thing.

Does that mean it will happen? No. They said similar things about Morris. But he isn't regressing like Morris or even Hackenberg. His sacks have gone down despite the struggles up front and his passing numbers remain consistent.

Also i'm not saying kaaya will ever become a top 5 or 10 type qb but i do think he will get better and win those big games y'all blame him for losing

So your theory is those other QB's are not hurried and don't have to throw the football on the run?

Kaaya has better pocket presence and makes quicker decisions. I don't think Miami's OL is anywhere near those three teams right now.
