Biggest Surprise of the Season - How Bad Enos Is

[QUOTE="dwreck27, post: 4206153, member:

Our players don’t use their hands well. No leverage, no bend, no moves. We either run too wide (Garvin) or run directly at the OL (Patchan). Rousseau has skills just needs a bit more size and strength. I am confused as to what Hill is bringing to the table. He is a combo on Garvin & Patchan. He has a spin move but it’s predictable.
Rousseau is the biggest DE on the team. All the other DEs are 255 and less.

It's easy and it's true. The incompetence of the BOT has been the problem for 15 years, at least. It's the BOT that hired a string of incompetent ADs and head corches. This is not news. If the BOT was interested in rebuilding a championship team it wouldn't have hired the crap that they did.

President hires AD. Come again.

If the offense is rolling, Tate belongs on the bench. If the O cant do ****, give Tate a few plays (wildcat, trick play, decoy) whatever to spark something
Let all the players not good enough to start get plays in

So is Enos offense too sophisticated? Cause I see the same issues upfront. MR would religiously run max protect sets..the problem with that is it limits what you can scheme down field..so then it’s easier to matchup for a DB

Enos isn't running max protection, which is a valid critique and may be his stubbornness. That said, the OL needs a major a facelift and Jarren needs think/play the game at a higher level. #66 should play more. He looked good in garbage-time last game.

Biggest surprise of the season is not Enos. Biggest surprise is that some of these porsters still think we’re going to win the coastal.

Jarren’s pass to JT in the end zone that was broken up was one trillion percent on him.

JT got open within 5 yards of his man and it took JW until JT was 20 yards downfield to throw the ball. And to top it all off he underthrew the ball.

But yes, Enos was Pat Nix like today

Lmao Yoo honestly..do y’all see our offensive line??..do y’all see this ****..IDGAF WHO CALLING PLAYS! With WTF we have up front it doesn’t ******* matter. The guys can’t execute up front. It’s that simple. Enos is doing a lot of the **** y’all asked for..our QB almost got killed vs ******* Central Michigan..priority one for this staff is to get that **** fixed..idk how this season gonna play out..but Sean mcvay or that **** at OU could be the OC rn and you see the same ****
U do know that FSU has just as bad, if not worse, of an offensive line as we do, right? The difference is one coach runs a scheme that can mask a bad oline and the other runs a scheme that requires a good oline.

No. Our oline is worse..and you point that out as though FSUs offense is high flying rn. They have the same issues when it comes to winning up front as us

Nah, it's how bad the defense is--without a doubt. Enos is the least of our problems. The defense was on the field all day and i'm sure nobody anticipated the degree of regression we'd see on that side of the ball. Simply disgraceful.

I agree with this. Offensive schemes look fine...the best we've had here in many years. I keep envisioning how smoothly it would be functioning if let's say we had Alabama's personnel. Or Ohio State. Pick a team.

The deep ball to Thomas was a pure fluke that it wasn't a touchdown. The cornerback had no clue. Thomas (per norm) has no clue how to stop and draw pass interference. The ball just happened to find the one spot without a catch or penalty and with the defender lucky as **** to tip it away, despite not turning around.

Wisconsin passed for 400 yards against Central Michigan. Everyone knows that isn't their tendency or preference. But once I saw the inept coverage of the tight end position, and all the vulnerabilities downfield, I didn't have to ask how it happened.

Enos should have relied on more quick decisive passes. On deeper drops #60 can't cope with anyone who gets to his left shoulder quickly, or even fairly quickly. We need to be giving him some help. Frankly I don't think Enos is accustomed to calling plays for an offense in which so many linemen can't cope on their own.

No one is accustomed to calling plays with such poor OL play, and people can't understand how challenging that is. I'm confident that, with time, Enos will get it going.

No. Our oline APPEARS to be worse than FSU’s bc one team runs a scheme that can mask a bad oline and the other team runs a scheme that requires a good oline.

no one said FSU is flying high, but they put up 21 points in the first half against a P5 team and we put up 17 points in the entire game against Central Michigan. FSU is putting up numbers with a bad defense also

as I said back in January... FSU made a significantly better hire than Miami did.

This is a systematic issue on offense. It’s not a coincidence that our most effective drive today was in shotgun and rpo heavy. Enos is a good OC but his system it’s doesn’t fit Miami. He doesn’t stick to what work during the game. If Diaz is really focused on analytics then the results will show that Miami is better in shotgun and 11 personnel.

Was it on a play action that Dan “****** face” Enos called? If so, could explain why it took him so long to make the pass.
