Big update from Herald

Joking aside, she’s actually pretty well regarded in the collegiate athletics community. Is she AD material? **** no. Should she have anything to do with hiring? **** no.

But, is she someone that knows the NCAA inside out, keep us in compliance, and make sure the trains run on time while Zo or another AD focuses on big picture stuff? Absolutely.
don't let that get in the way of this board's psychotic hate boner for her lol

What an absolute crock of **** the first paragraph is, only Miami bros wanted

The upper levels of the University of Miami football administration would like to hire an athletic director who understands the culture of Hurricanes football and is intimately familiar with the market, a source involved in the process said over the weekend.
What a ******* joke. I'd rather have everyone have zero ties to Miami than have everyone have previous ties to Miami. It's a ******* echo chamber.

If they are apparently going this route, which is ******* stupid, they better get Zo and not Torretta. They better also get one of the lackluster ADs mentioned and not ******* Strawley. I think Torretta/Strawley would be the worst combo so I'll brace for that.

The knife can cut both ways. Maggard, Hocutt, and Eichorst had outside points of view and were bad fits at Miami.

I'm not just trying to throw out random names, those were 3 of our last 5 ADs. It's a tricky needle to thread.
Valid point, and an alternative view is that Gino has not been in the NCAA athletics bubble, so maybe there is diversity in thought from that.

Some, myself included, may view points 1 and 2 as weaknesses. Often times an outside point of view is best to actually see a problem and how to fix it.
1 I understand, but why would you view 2 as a weakness?

That, IMO, might be his biggest strength. The way we have it (or so I assume), our liaison b/w the BOT and the football team is the AD. However, I didn't believe Blake had the capacity to intelligently assess what the problems were independent of anything fed to him by the HC. If we have someone intelligent, independent, and capable in that role, that person can convey to the BOT what the problems are so that the BOT can then make an informed decision (on whatever topic, hiring, firing, budget issues, etc.).

Yes. It is a fascinating debate on so many levels. Wish I could "cheat ahead" five years to see how this turns out.

Why would the new BIG money boosters, who understand how to grow something, be on board w any of this? And if they aren't, where's the new money coming from?

the whole thing is a typical Miami goat-roping circle jerk scam ... hope i am wrong as ****, but dont be surprised
if mandy stays and strawley's ugly *** fits in somewhere.

the ******** in the admin have been giving Miami fans a high hard one and gone in dry for almost 20 years ..... odds
are they are looking for the best way to bend us over once again.

Only think your going to have to go a few days, maybe a week to find out….but if you’re going while your there can you get me the lottery numbers for about 2 months straight so I can buy out all these BOT members..

This is tense lol

I have calmed down now. No need to stress this. My emotions wont impact this hire one way or another. Just waiting for the result and seeing what happens.

I respect some of yalls calmness lol
That's the only thing we can do right now.

Now, I'm going to my Twitter. No need for onlyfans when these thots publish their "assets" for free.
🤷🏿‍♂️

I see what you are saying. I viewed it with the lens of a former Miami player and being married to the past rather than innovating for the future.
