Big Baby Seymour

Correct. In the end UM needs to win to improve the draft stock of these prospects. The simple fact is that teams with good players And coaches win more and The winning, in turn, helps improve draft positioning. Winning convinces the scouts that the player is good. and that is ultimately a better business decision than $10-50,000 these kids might be offered by U of ________.

I agree with everything you said. Cash is king though

Ive been thinking about the interview where Kinchens explains why he chose UM the last two days.

The importance of a South Florida stud, with legit SEC offers, stating that he believes he stands to make more $ via NLI opportunities at UM cannot be understated. That’s not to say this will become the norm as I’m sure there are some kids/families who’ll still take the bag, but the pitch is resonating.
Yep, agree NLI is huge. All the pieces coming together to make Miami elite again.

So Rivals has an interview with Big Baby today. He is still injured from that car wreck he had. Said the other driver lost control and hit him head on. His brother was in the car. Lamar still has knee and back issues. Big Baby said he bruised the side of his face and has shoulder and neck pain still. He said he shakes when he has to turn his head. He is getting an MRI soon and He says no timetable has been set at rehab for when he’ll be pain-free.

He said that Cane coaches called him minutes after the accident occurred to make sure he was okay.

He isn't doing much of anything football related right now.

He also said he has been recruiting Amari Daniels to Miami but that it will be tough to get him because he likes TAMU...

Someone needs to start singing the aggie warm hymn around Daniels...it could turn him off.. that's what happened to top texas schoolboy RB recruit Harvey Williams in 1986. Williams was set to announce for a&m on signing day at his hs ceremony when the aggie war hymn started blaring. It turned him off.. He then signed with Lsu

Glad he's sticking. Solid HS player but how is he going to transition to the college level? I hope he's ready to sit 3 years before he sees the field. If not he'll be in the portal. He'll be battling Rodriguez for the Center spot as probably a 2 year starter (RS jr & RS Sr)... maybe he can play guard at that point if he's serious enough in the weight room.

Good programs have good players that wait and develop on the OL & DL all the time but it typically doesn't work out well for us.
