At what point do we worry that the staff is not set?

CIS now and the last few months has been arguably worse than during the Golden era.

I am quite certain he already knows the majority of his staff. He may be still looking for a couple. He's probably letting recruits know as such.

I really hope most of these posters are old ladies and not adult males. My 98 year old grandma laughs at the hand-wringing and teeth-gnashing on here. She'd choke slam these sissies for being so emotionally frail.

It's never been worse. Every new poster is worse than the last new poster, and they don't hesitate to start threads and spree post.

The good thing is that it's so bad that it's actually risen to the level of unintended comedy. You got a guy like broke trying to be condescending to his superiors in that DC thread last night. High comedy.

He probably didnt come across the country to watch high school football. He was probably already on the east coast doing his job. Why would he come to coach LBs at Miami(college) and leave the NFL. And it better not be as DC. I would think Richt would hire someone that has experience
 
As Coach said it is more important to get it right than fast. Coach Richt has been watching and participating in the coaching carousel for 15 years at a good school. He was getting 250 text messages a day. Half from guys looking for jobs. There are a huge number of candidates. Due diligence requires time and patience.
 
Richt will announce his staff when he's **** well ready to. He said his goal is to get it right not rush the hire.

I agree with the sentiment. His staff is already in place. He's just waiting to announce. As they are still coaching at the moment

i think so too. CMR doesnt want to distract the current coaches before the bowl game. i would assume CMR has 65% of his staff figured outthe rest he will get from current staff
 
I haven't any worries about Mark Richt. The man has been in the coaching business
for 30 some years and a college player for 4 or 5. That said, the man knows what to do
and we here on this forum do not. Richt is going to hire who he thinks is the best man
for his system, synergy inclusive.
Everyone on this forum wants Richt to have a successful product, and whatever is said on
this forum that he should do this or that is just a waste of typesetting. Sit back and wait
for him to establish his team be they players and coaches.
 
Richt has only been here for 10 days, I'm sure these things will get done during the dead period.

Remember some poster saying Miami wouldn't a hire a coach before January lol.
 
From what I'm hearing and sensing, Richt's coaching staff will be comprised of some current staff, some from the college and some from the pro's ranks and hence the waiting game for many of these people are not accessible as of yet. Some of his choices, like Kehoe, will not be very popular for, in my opinion, Kehoee has underachieved the last couple of years. There may be more surprises to come that may also not be popular. Understand that defense is not Richt's game. What has kept him from winning championships at GA were normally his defenses, not offenses.
 
For my money, nothing so far has equalled the melt-down when al went MIA as PSU was looking for a coach.

Not to mention recruits want to know who their position coach is as well.

The longer he waits the better he will get to know his staff however I agree with AllAboutDaU and Miami82, good coaches are getting snatched up and recruits want to know. I think Richt pretty much knows who will be on his staff, probably has verbal agreements in place and recruits may be in on it as well.
