And you want to know why we lost???

I remember before the season when Rosier said he didn’t watch film for real prior to this season because he didn’t think he’d ever start.
I’m happy he got us this record but his mental game is all jacked up. I knew better than to trust a light skin cat at QB. Rosier, Kaaya, Morris all mentally soft. Get us some QBs with balls that got the hunger and the dog in them

Well, you got Perry now who is dark like cocoa so, we better go 45-0 with 3 ships in the next 3 years...dumbass comment

Saying that we need a QB with better mental toughness is a bad comment? Rosier got us to this point but when you make those type of comments like i was out there to be out there that’s a whole different level. Obviously the joke is over your head and you might not be black so I expect it to go over your head.

But saying you don’t watch film and that you are just out there tells me your heart ain’t in the game. You just there.

Is that your all world mentally tough QB? That’s my comment the light skin thing is a joke that many blacks in life have. The stereotype is that light skin cats are soft, Drake type Nigs, that’s the joke. A QB can be any color and perform well I’m not stupid

That Rosier post game **** was as bad as when he said he just started watching film. This guy out here missing throw after throw game after game and he getting comfortable? Who df does he think he is?

He even said in that Pitt presser that he don't even talk to the WRs in practice just the O-line to give them the protection. You telling me that he is out here never on the same page with WRs in game and he ain't even tryna fix it in practice? That another Golden special for you... no work effort, no leadership, no desire to be great, no desire to improve and just goes through the motions. What else should I have expected? I promise you Rosier doesn't work on his throwing on off days or after practice even with the way he struggles.

Then we got dude on here talking about how great of a leader he is when in reality he just getting carried by the defense. We would be right there with FSU and Florida at 4-6 if our defense wasn't holding it down most games.

Unbelievable.

Rosier certainly deserves a lot of blame, but he isn't the only culprit in dropping a deuce on my Thanksgiving weekend.
1) I blame turkey and the itis. Players should have been focused on crushing Pitt on Thursday night, but instead they were breaking bread and playing grabass while stuffing their faces full of mashed potatoes at the hotel
2) defense simply didn't show up. Little freshman qb in his first start should have been a deer in headlights and running for his life. Instead he was trucking our front seven. It was embarrassing to repeatedly see a 250 lb holding onto the back of the qb's shirt and having his *** dragged on the field like a dog with worms.
3) Coaching. Probably should be #1 . Richt needs to fire his son as qb coach. The special teams coach is pure basura. Has been all year. Returns, punts, you name it. Punting today probably gave Pitt at least 120 extra yards (compared to a decent punter) . Manny Diaz - bruh, why are you stunting on the goal line? Where was the pressure today? Searles - pathetic effort by your squad. They showed they are capable of blocking well against ND. Just lazy and unmotivated today. And finally Mark Richt. Rosier is obviously not having a good day passing. So what do you call? Deep pass after deep pass after deep pass. In the one TD drive, Rosier hit the short stuff accurately. Then after that, right back to the deep pass, and 3 and out. In the ND game, Richt broke out the Wildcat, against VT I think a WR made a couple throws. He had motion and misdirection against those teams. Against Pitt, I'd call it vanilla but that would be an insult to vanilla.

Looked like he was not alone. Both lines and much of staff was sleep walking with him. We have won this year because him and others have made big time plays in big time games. They left those on the bus and got their rears kicked. By the way, we win this game at The Rock. Our crowd is back to making a huge difference.

I hope there is a lot a finger pointing going on because all of those fingers will be pointing at him. seeing him on the sideline all day with the look on his face that he was just out there warming up for a real game made my blood boil and I'm sure the rest if he team feels the same way. You could see the WRs throwing their hands up in frustration just like they have all year like are you kidding me dude what was that?

How do you guys take what coaches or players say in interviews seriously?!?!

That’s just coach/player media bs talk. Technically he’s never been interviewed after a loss before.

this should provide a clue.... here's Rosier after the game (Miami Herald):

"It was one of those moments to where, I felt like as a starter, especially as long as I've been starting I haven't lost yet. I guess I got complacent," Rosier said. "I was just out there to be out there, and I was kind of like going through my reads instead of dialing in and focusing every snap. After that, it really put this football game into perspective, that any moment I could get pulled."

Complacent???? playing in the last game with natty in the picture....

And some of you maroons blame Richt for pulling him out???

Interesting theory, which makes you wonder. Did the coaches see this coming from him? Or did they just figure it out during the game? I also think throwing a frozen football is different. And tackling a guy in near freezing temperatures is also different. Not in a good or fun way either. How many of these guys on the roster were here two years ago when we played up here? I think the weather was a big factor in the “desire” factor. But I can get down with this theory as well.

I hear you on the deep ball calls but that’s what we needed to hit on to pull that defense back off the line. After those bubbles earlier their safeties we standing flat footed coming down hill on us. That’s why the pass late to Berrios was so open. The safety never moved. They showed their hand, we just didn’t do our part. This team doesn’t know how to win from the “you should win” spot. They are a **** of an underdog, but obviously aren’t a big dog yet. That will come but you’ve got to learn that first. This game is a huge learning tool. Hopefully, the team picks it up and this loss doesn’t cost them an invite to the tourney.

Rosey **** the bed. So did the team. No run game to bail him out. Pitt just wanted it more. That stings, especially with an undefeated season on the line.
If he would’ve made the throws the run game would have been there! They practically dared him to beat them by passing.

True. But if the OL balls out and gets Homer going maybe Rozier works himself into the game. Yesterday was really the first time all year he didn’t work himself out of the yips. All around lousy game. The defense got worked by a true frosh making his first start. Feagles set a record for shanks. Bandy dropped a pick. Richards doesnt lay out for a bomb. Berrios droped a pass on most days he catches. Richt called a lousy game. They got outhustled. The whole team looked hungover. It happens. Even with the undefeated season on the line. Personally, I think twelve straight weeks caught up with them. They came crashing back down to Earth. And credit Pitt. They were gritty and rolled the dice that our QB wasn’t going to beat them and it worked. No excuses. I wonder how much they have in the tank for next week. It’s going to take a great physical and mental effort by everyone to beat Clemson.

Yeah I mean going 3-14 for a stretch in any game is bad enough to get your pulled. But the delay of game penalities were a huge indicator that this dude really wasn’t into the game. Kinda unbelievable for a guy that has been labeled as a “gamer”.

I would have tried to get my big WRs and TE involved in the short to intermediate. Langham has been MIA since GT. Work the sidelines. If Rosier is overthrowing, then at least it's out of bounds, but gives the big targets a change to jump up and get the pass. He just couldn't hit a moving target, but was OK when the WRs sat down in the zone and waited for the ball. I feel like Richt did the coaching equivalent of "rolling out the helmet" and thinking you are good enough to sleep walk to a win. He was going to stick with his basic game plan. Either Rosier would execute it or not. Richt didn't appear to have a plan B if the original game plan didn't work. I was frustrated with the fact that I didn't see any urgency out of Richt in terms of trying to spark the offense when compared to the other games where Rosier also struggled, but Richt would change up personnel groupings and schemes in the second half to get the O moving again.

so Rosier "mails" it in and sleep walks thru the game. and this board and this thread still blames the coach.. the only thing that Ritcht did wrong was waiting too long to pull the sleeping brat.

The post game interview with Malik was strange. He basically admitted that we maybe mistook his complaceny for bravado. As if this was something wrongly looked at as a positive because we were winning. He did say he begged Richt to "come back in and lead his team." No idea what to think of this kid.

Pathetic to hear it from the leader of the team!!!

We heard it preseason too. His comments about not watching film until he was named starter in 2015 said everything.

Honestly we should’ve just left Evan in to get him reps. Game was over

His demeanour throughout the game was just bland.... it was funny that at one point I told others that this guy is trying to throw this game... this is almost as bad. I feel bad for the seniors ...

He was in no mental shape to play this game... maybe it was all the stress about his dad...

or he is one of those dudes who really puts in minimum effort and does just well enough to get by.... only this time it caught up to him.

That seems to be Malik’s personally. It can pay dividends, as it did against FSU, GA Tech, etc, where he’s calm at the end of a game under the brightest lights. Another positive is that mindset seems to allow him to shake off bad quarters and inconsistent play.

But there is a huge negative as well, a seemingly aloof lack of interest in those instances like the Pitt game, when he needs to wake up before it’s too late.

Kind of reminds me of Dustin Johnson. No one does a better job on the PGA tour of shaking off bad performances, or bad luck. But that laid back personality has also been the culprit in his not having another major or two.

this sounds like "coach talk" to you? he was being dead honest. and its a terrible look. especially when you remember how he said before this year he never even watched film.

I'm not even mad tho. given who and what our starting QB is, we're lucky to be 10-1 with a chance for bigger things.

How quickly the board turns.

Same player-blaming, scapegoating and excuse machine that served Shannon and Golden so well getting revved up again.

Like I said, I give Richt credit for being 10 - 0 and the blame for being 10-1.
