Sorry guys, i know you want to blame everything on Blake and Manny but they dont have that kind of money. Thats likely more than Blake makes himself. Even the highest paid college AD's are only making $1-1.5M.

UM paid $3 million to buyout Manny's contract with Temple and the dude hadn't even set up his office in the Temple Athletic Dept. Its not about the money IMO. Its about power and control. The people within the AD do NOT want to surrender that power.

I think Manny's gift for bull**** is second to none. Even the other day when he was 'nailing' the OC interview (and impressing some of this board) really just means he's a genius self-marketing salesman who knows how to come through bad situations unscathed with flashy speech.

Once you decode the gibberish, though, and look at result, you realize he's a hot air loser just like his father. That gift for bull**** gives him the unimportant traits of our great teams: the bravado, etc., but none of the substance that made us great in the first place. He could have come out and said, “Look, we would be grateful to have Zo come join the administration but it would be a step down for him frankly and he said he was not interested and would help us anyway he could if he seeked advisement”. Boom! Case closed and we move on and no damage done. The way it’s played out makes it seem like they offered him a BS job or they just blew him off. Which doesn’t sit well with me. Only the signing of an A+ OC would make me renew at this point.
