Active player recruiting against us?

Great he’s still the second best coach in college football over the past 20 years for the work he did at two schools (and two other quickly forgotten ones).
You missed the point. Have a nice Thanksgiving!

Here we go again with your secondary (non-***) schtick, the one in which the coaches are 100% to blame and the players have done nothing wrong.

@RVACane , can I open up the year-end awards nominations with "Biggest Miami Hater Masquerading as a Miami Fan", and nominate NYSOM? He's the early favorite to win, but there are soooo many contenders...
I mean it’s an interesting category. @djnellz @PIPO

Nobody said that ****, Meyer & everybody's grandma knew He inherited a stacked roster at OSU.
To be honest, him and goober Mullen only took jobs where they had some solid talent to work with (smart), I've known them since their Bowling Green days. Every stop had a running qb already in fold that was good enough to dominate the mid tier conferences. I think he might have convinced Alex Smith to come/stay can't recall the story. Urban is great at one thing. Conditioning. He is the Coach K of cfb. He gets more out of his guys than any coach I've ever been around. That is his magic. He will work you to death.

Terminate the NIL agreement (legally) & pack his bags (whoever this is). Disgraceful after all the opportunities the University is giving this young man (free education from a leading private university, food, NIL opportunities, chance to play for one of the biggest brands in the game etc). If players aren't happy with their playing time or anything else, they are totally welcome to transfer to another school. That's the right way to do it. Cr@pping on a special place that has given you a lot is totally inappropriate. Toxic elements should be removed from the team immediately.

I somewhat agree here, but there are deeper levels to this than black and white. You need a roster to win games, and I am sure that at the beginning of the season, and with the schedule we had, Mario thought he could get through this season without having 6 losses and address it this off season. If we're all thinking it, he has to be too. But it's not just as easy as blowing it up and starting over. You need bodies to make it through the season, even the rotten bodies. He ended up in a **** spot though, but maybe it's better it plays out like this for 2022.
Shame on you! We don't do nuance around here! EVERYTHING is black and white!

Nah, I largely agree with you too. It's not like he could've caused a mass exodus prior to the year and have the depth issues you're alluding to. I just think it's worrisome to only see guys being run off now. At minimum there should've beem SOME radar of the extreme cases when you're supposedly setting some sort of culture over the summer. Then you possibly would've have eliminated SOME of the problem and we're not having the insane discussion of kids recruiting AGAINST the program a year after Mario's hire.

Mario is obviously just a builder (hopefully) and not at all a fixer. That building just needs to be expedited through the portal too. And that building BETTER be guys that fit his "culture". There simply CANNOT be an excuse that Mario felt the pressure of this disaster season and tried for a quick-fix via the Portal and a lot of those kids ended up not being good fits for what he was actually trying to build so he needs another 2-3 years to get "his kids" in here as normal recruits.
