A young player that is getting better…

Between Lowe, Lightfoot, Pickett, Blount, McConathy, Rudolph & Newton, we need at least one of these dudes to make a major leap into game-wrecker territory.

We need much more elite production from the DLine in general & the EDGE rushers in particular.

I've seen enough of Mesidor, he's already hit his ceiling. Solid college player, but not a high impact game changer.
Mesidor has a lot of experience and is obviously a guy you want in your room from both a leadership and production standpoint. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if guys like Lightfoot, Blount and Lowe potentially taking snaps away from mesidor as the season goes on. It’s not a knock of Mesidor, but those guys probably have higher ceilings

They won’t take any snaps from him because it’s plenty snaps in the rotation for them

Agree with this.

Thoughts on Bain?

Personally, I’m not a massive fan of Bain and Mesidor on the edge at the same time. Sure they should be able to set the edge, but the ability to consistently apply pressure is missing. We need a speed rusher to apply pressure on that starting unit and not simply rely on a NASCAR package during obvious passing downs.

He definitely has a marquee name. Good news.

Tangential question related to DL rotation - can anyone who's seen Hetherman's defenses (live or film) comment on how/how often he subs his DL? Snap count breakdowns etc.? It'd be nice to get a feel for what and who we can reasonably expect to eat minutes.

Let's just throw out a example of Spring talk. Patterson just returned from injury. Do you believe Dylan Day getting all these Spring snaps, is going to be ahead of Patterson come Fall? They want to bring in a proven portal S to start ahead of Patterson. Day is now, not in the 2 deep. They could try him at FS behind Poyser. Some people are now convinced Day will start. Day has played well. Maybe he beats out Patterson in Fall. You can't mention injuries around here, why you keep hearing some players name's and others not at all. This is Spring to me every year.
And this is how a Spring GT AA is born. It's out of his hands. Maybe a star soon, maybe a transfer.

According to to whom? He has been having an excellent Spring. You think Mario is Just going to let Good player out the door like that?
Everybody can’t be having a excellent spring. And Mario can’t do nothing to stop it. We are going to lose guys that’s the nature of the game. Bryant is a jr who is undersized and getting outplayed by the younger guys. They haven’t mentioned Bryant all spring. It’s always Bain, Blount, and lowe

I agree but I care less and less about the way a guy looks and care more about their production. Too many Tarzan looking, plays like Jane dudes.

Greg Rousseau looked a lot like a basketball player. We also seem to always run into basketball looking tall lankey dudes that give us fits on the edge.
i saw JT in the dolphin locker room his rookie year. thought he was a basketball player. when we were leaving tim bowens said thats the rookie draft pick.

Think we need two from that group to pop

Starting Rotation: Bain, Mesidor, Bryant (on passing downs)
Emerging: Blount, Lowe, Lightfoot
Developing: Rudolph, Pickett, McConathy, Scroggins

Is this a fair portra
