A young player that is getting better…

Between Lowe, Lightfoot, Pickett, Blount, McConathy, Rudolph & Newton, we need at least one of these dudes to make a major leap into game-wrecker territory.

We need much more elite production from the DLine in general & the EDGE rushers in particular.

I've seen enough of Mesidor, he's already hit his ceiling. Solid college player, but not a high impact game changer.
Yeah I don't want Mesidor starting this year. In order for this defense to take a huge step this year we need one the the younger DEs to emerge and pass Mesidor on the depth chart.

Other schools find ways to get guys like this on the field. You don’t need to be 265 to rush the passer on third down. Now if the kid can’t play, then whatever but I have no issue with throwing an undersized guy out in pass rush situations. James Pierce is going to be a first round pick and he’s like 240. Tyler Barron was built like a Greek god but couldn’t set the edge or rush the passer against p4 opponents.

…Marquise Lightfoot. Very explosive and surprisingly physical and powerful for a lighter player. Getting more and more reps with the 1s.
We haven’t heard about him really since signing,I actually forgot about him totally.

Awesome hope we have a Rusty or Mark in this one they both came in undersized but blossoming one of the greatest DE of all time ever.

Wasn't McConathy getting this type of hype last year though?

Yes. That was before Baron transferred in. I feel he was overhyped by some. He had Bain level production in high school so the hope was we had found another Bain. Those are rare.
