    Feagles is a huge liability

Especially with our defense playing as well as it is. We have to win the field position battle against ND and Vt

    Strength Program - Excess Fat

I can't be the only one who notices that Shaq, Pinckney, and other sophomores have too much excess fat around their gut. I know I'm gonna get negged, but these 2 kids are a step slower this season and have coincidentally gained some bad weight imo. And keep in mind I like Felder and what...

    Power Success Rate

We are 128th out of 130 in "power success rate" (3rd/4th down 2 yards or less). We only gain a first down/TD on 18% of those plays. Can't believe it's that bad. FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2017 NCAA OFFENSIVE LINE STATS

Arguably the play of the game

Michael Jackson beautifully breaks up that 3rd and 8 pass with 2:30 left that would've ended the game. Major props to the kid. He set the edge well after the first 2 possessions.

    Who's back for Syracuse?

    Delaney? Redwine? Richards? Donaldson?

    Zach Feagles

Kid is overthinking things. Quit worrying about your hang time and just let it loose. He's got a big leg but he's trying to be too perfect. /Hartley is a liability at ST's coach

    Diaz on 3rd Down

2nd quarter - FSU is facing 3rd and 7. Diaz puts in nickel package - single high man under (w bandy). We rush 4, have a safety come up and reroute Izzo, Quarterman picks up the leaking RB, and we have a safety over the top. Result = 10 yard sack. Fast forward to 13:20 to see the play...

Giving the defensive players more freedom (video)

Howard is asked about the bubble screen and why this one was jumped and never any of the other ones. His response was very simple and something the fans (oh we're so dumb!!) have been calling for, forever. Worth noting is that Howard said he first caught the coaches eyes in practice when he...

    Larranaga's defense

At George Mason & Bowling Green Larranaga was known for his scramble defense in the half court & his 3-2 camouflage defense in the 3/4 court. (the 3-2 defense is essentially a 1-2-2 zone where you guard the passing lanes not the ball). Has Larranaga run these much while here at Miami?

    "Stop..running..around the block!"

D'Onofrio sucked from day 1. Our LBs were just doing what they've always done... avoid blockers and make a play on the ball carrier. Stop running around the block really meant "welcome to my soft *** 2 gap defense where all your m2m skills and football instincts come to die."

    Why is Golden scared?

Is it just that big ten mentality? People compared him to JJ but he's not like JJ at all. Jimmy had a huge chip on his shoulder & was a super aggressive defensive guy. JJ wanted to play the best schedule every year. Golden was wetting himself when we dumbed down our schedule. JJ held grudges...

    Strength & Conditioning

I know it's a touchy subject 'round these parts... but I said years ago that the reason LSU & Bama were a step ahead of everyone else was that their S&C coaches were top notch Gale Hatch (former US Olympic coach) disciples. Vic Viloria is one as well & it shows...

Tackling & the 1st quarter defense

Rewatched the 1st quarter in slow motion 1) Tackling on 3rd down was horrendous. Crawford, Tyrone (waits for offensive guys to come to him), & Luther all missed 3rd down tackles that would have ended WF drives. 2) Twice we rushed 5 and played cover 1 man press behind it. 1 resulted in a sack...

    Let's talk DL pressure

DL takes the heat too often for not getting pressure on the QB. But 1) we play a lot of 3 man fronts & too often in 4 man fronts we run slow developing stunts (I suppose we're worried about their slow QB scrambling? lol) 2) When you play bend don't break you allow the QB to get the...

    On Howard's PI call

Did anyone else notice that Ebron was wide open on a drag routes underneath because 2 of our players ran into each other? Still gotta wonder about this scheme. We're improving but what's the ceiling with this soft zone bullsheeeiiiit?

    Postgame analysis

Pumped about the win. Crawford is the man. 30+ carries, holy ****. 1) Is D'Onofrio afraid to play man? I don't get it. 2) AJ Highsmith, unfortunately, is a liability out there. Takes bad angles, doesn't tackle well, etc. We still aren't there yet talent-wise. Maybe '14 or '15 3) I...

    Man vs Zone Thursday

What will we predominantly see from D'Onofrio Thursday? More press man coverage against UNC's passing attack? Or zone if UNC goes with the dual threat QB?

    Refs & Homefield disadvantage

Bullsh!t spots, bullsh!t holds, another offsides call on kickoff, celebration penalties. We officially have the worst home-field advantage in the country. I watch SEC games and refs wouldn't even THINK about calling celebration penalties on the home team after TDs.
