That I agree with but thing is, only way it slows down is through experience playing. Both of them will be a little slow going through reads or forcing plays initially. It seems comical talking about it after like 4 total TVD series of his career. These have told us nothing.

Ford isn’t there for the splash plays he’s playing the 1-tech. He was easily the most consistent DT in the Bama game. Did not give up ground and did extremely well playing his gap

Didn’t have any nuance to his game and hasn’t developed any. Tries to run everyone over every snap no hand usage, counters just bull rush every time.

Actually surprisingly held up alright against the run. The worst I saw was actually Chantz which surprised me cause he’s our biggest guy there. He was way too tentative taking on the blocks and got driven back a ton of plays (no chance when guard came to help as well).

Yeah I don’t think it’s ideal he is our starter from a talent at DE standpoint but that is the position we are in. It’s what happens when you miss on the big time edge rushers you go after year after year or only get 1 with real potential in a class.

Yeah it was a tough watch. Don’t think DEs will be our issue this year though I’m actually more concerned with the DBs. Need corners bad I think it’s clear couch is our only trustworthy man corner. No one else has the speed/hips combo to be playing man
