Pretty crazy all 3 WR commits are not from South FL, and Wingo is a c-hair away from being out of state himself, which would make all 3 out of state
And into that I say, works just fine for me. South Florida kids don’t wanna be here, I could care less anymore! And it’s not a surprise with how much they transfer in high school anyways.

Will be unpopular here, but I don’t believe in overpaying out of desperation for a backup option.

I hope he balls out senior year and develops into a freak, but he has high bust potential from the film and comp I watch. I expect him to drop in the rankings as well. He’s high ceiling, low floor type.

At the same time, good to stop the bleeding and all hands on deck for Cooper. That’s someone that’s worth the overpay imo.

All that being said, welcome to the U young man and prove many of us wrong.
I disagree with you that this kid is a back up option, like I’ve said many times, Russell is arguably the most raw prospect out there and again, I question if football is even his first love. That kid has bust written all over him. While this kid, is much more refined and I saw him outrace excellent secondaries last year and I believe if he continues to put in the work, he can contribute right away for us. I cannot say those same things for Russell.

Grew up in P-Town! Played some softball with Horace. He was the basketball coach, I think up to the late 90's. Got relieved of his duties for some crazy shizzle.
Yeah he got caught up in extra curricular activities! I talk to him now and then. I left in 2000, it was fun there.

folks complain about comp ... but they made it to the final four? first clip is housing it against heritage ...
I couldn’t agree more, and when people questioned his speed, I always talk about him housing it against Heritage. He out ran a top secondary right there.

All 5 stars aren’t created equal, I never saw Russell as an immediate impact player like Jeremiah Smith or Ryan Williams even before he committed elsewhere.

And he’s far from a five star. I fully expect him to lose a star because he’s nothing but a four star with how Raw he is and that’s being kind.

It's amazing that even when this program picks up a talented kid, and beats out UF, it still feels like a loss. I wonder why? Oh, it's because we have and will likely always have some of the most toxic, myopic fans on the planet. I've said this many a time over the years, I'm convinced we have fans on this board that actively hate the program, they just don't know where to go so they come here to annoy the **** out of everyone.

There's a line between legitimate analysis and "Let's just crap on this commit, because unless someone is a 5 star, they have no future whatsoever"... There's a lot to like about this young man, but it's also obvious that he will not be Jeremiah Smith or Ryan Williams as a true freshman(Those guys come along maybe once in a decade, to have two come in the same class may not be seen again for a generation or two). That said, it's still a solid win for a WR coach that is disliked by a large group of fans.
