I realize I'm an idiot, but I had to read that thing twice just to be sure what was said. Way too convoluted of an answer for it to be reassuring. Sounds like something between "he wants to enjoy HS" to "we'll figure this out later" to "it's just an offer we wanted."

Who knows.

"Brad is committed to The University of Miami. It is a great staff and a great opportunity for him to become a man away from home. It's his decision, but he'd like to get through his senior season. UCLA had very valid reasons why they didn’t invite Brad to the dance, we get it. But now Brad is in the middle of a very important season that needs his attention. In essence, he's a ‘Cane that just got another offer. He's not running out of a door to run into another one. He has some HS football to play."

^^^ This "statement" is too Hollywood

@CANESFANALLDAY I wouldn't be.

That is ******* pathetic.

I'm not a nervous guy, and I don't care what happens because UM will win with him or without him. But this all sounds like a little bit of double-talk to me.

If it's truly 100% rock solid, then all you have to say is "I am 100% rock solid to UM. Nothing has changed. I'm proud to get the UCLA offer, but I am 100% committed to UM." That's it.

The fact that he's suddenly going recluse when he's been talking up a storm until the minute he got the UCLA offer doesn't compute. The comments kind of come across like a dude who got caught ******** around on his wife.

his response to the below question is the same thing. He's 100% Cane, has helped recruit as much or more then any other commit, including SFL locals and has said nothing that should have us comparing him to Farve's wavering ***

" I wouldn't be"

I'm not on Twitter, so I don't know the answer to this, but how much recruiting has he been doing for UM since he got involved with Mora and UCLA?

And you read that "I wouldn't be" however you choose. If I wasn't double-talking or leaving myself an out, I'd just "I'm all Cane. 100%." or something similar. "I wouldn't be" is Anthony Weiner'esque.

Lots of bobbing and weaving to a very simple question/issue. Looked like some old school rope-a-dope **** from Zaire that had George Foreman gasping for air and thinking about inventing cheap griddles.

I remember her interview with Pete. Putting it nicely, if that kid has a chance to stay close to home, I think that's where he ends up. They have a very interesting...relationship.

The door is obviously open for him to bolt. Just have to keep recruiting him.

sad when are fans tweet at our recruits.. Let these 17 and 18 year olds live their lives stop stalking them...

This and sad how this board reacts to her statement. So many mopes that think Miami is an inferior program.

The start of the season has to be killing a lot of these posters, too much positive going on.

Si senior. While I don't think he is gone, this is no firm commitment. I understand a player (especially a QB) may not want to discuss recruiting and focus on school and FOOTBALL. I just think HBK left him some room in case he is excited about UCLA or something happens. Even though the word commitment means NOTHING anymore, HBK has elected (via his mother) to leave his options open.

I wonder what these recruits think when random people tweet them, that is very perplexing.

IMO it screams LEAVE YOUR OPTIONS OPEN while sounding committed to one school.

The kid now has only 3 offers so of course he wants more **** offers it's pathetic that no schools showed this kid love. He's focused on his High School team and winning which every qb is during the season because you rarely ever see a guy uncommitted during the season. She wants her son home which every parent wants to be around them and see them play so what is difficult to understand about that? Let the kid enjoy getting his THIRD OFFER when he deserves closer to 30 and believe that this staff we have will keep him a Cane and please everybody stop *****ing because this wont be the only time a UM commit gets a big offer or will see a story on how a UM commit "may flip" because theres more to come

I mean I feel like its pretty obvious on what is goin on here........
They didn't think this offer was coming and now that its here it has messed with his head. What I'm getting out of her tweets is that, this offer has really complicated things and they are staring down a difficult decision. I think she knows that if they jump ship they would be doing us dirty and that it would contradict this stand up image they and others have painted of them. It still doesn't change the fact they must be considering the offer strongly. So what do you do if you were in their shoes, obviously taking any Miami bias out of it? They need time to think about it. If they go ahead with UCLA, it will make then both look like jackasses to a staff that has done nothing but right by them. We shall see, but at this point it is what it is. The staff will figure this out, and if Kaaya jumps ship, that will just reinterate what an important recruit Olsen was last year. I think they think it over and stick with Miami.

And I'm not usually one of those guys but its pretty clear that Kaaya and his mom both read this board.

I don't get it and this is beyond creepy behavior.

Correct leave that to the professional stalkers like myself and Senor Ariz who can legally talk to recruits under the clever guise of blogging!

I see you Chise!

So let me get this straight , we now have two multiple page threads full of ****ing and moaning?
