He will probably stick in the end but his recruitment is definitely not over.

The Kaaya's are clearly considering UCLA, or at the very least listening to what they have to say.

They haven't said they're 100% committed because they're not 100% committed at this point.

that is taking the literal meaning a little too far. they could easily say they are 100% committed right now or 100% committed period and still change their mind later. she probably wrote her statement with the sole purpose of implying that things could change in the future.

if he wanted to change his mind and commit to UCLA why not do it now?? if it was the offer he wanted all along he should know if he is going to take it. i have always said i believe they are keeping their options open but really thats the way it has to be with 3 or 4 months left until signing.

That's the point. They're listening. They're not 100% committed. I'm speculating but I bet the staff has to recruit Kaaya harder now that UCLA entered the picture. If that's the case, then they must not feel he's 100% committed.

Not much more needs to be argued here. One side is not going to convince the other.

Kaaya is still committed to Miami. I'm sure all of us hopes he sticks.

Something that needs to be understood; they can come out and say "HURRICANE FOR LIFE 120% COMMITTED **** UCLA TOO LATE FOR THEM LOL" in an effort to appease most fans, but it actually doesn't change anything. Instead, she chose to be honest and add the disclaimer "at this time". Because that's the truth, isn't it? Currently, despite UCLA's offer, he is committed to Miami. That's not double talk. She's stating the circumstances.

UCLA will/has likely given him something to think about, and he'd be foolish to close that door. Recruiting is about relationships and we just have to hope Miami's relationship with Brad takes precedence.

Miami fans should know well enough by now that just because the local school wants a guy really bad, that it doesn't mean they're going to get him at the end. And the young man himself said folks shouldn't worry about.

CLIFFS- Quit listening to so much Drake you insecure knuckleheads.

I think its pretty clear that the Kaaya's are keeping their options open. Are they still committed to UM. Of course. Do they have things to think about now that one of the local schools have offered? Yep. I don't blame them nor do I care. When his season is over with, he wants to weigh his options. I have no qualms with that.

Anyone saying that's not what's going on is delusional. I think 5x and Franchise are on point on this one. No one is panicking or giving ****s. They just understand that the Kaaya's are looking at all of their options and leaving the door open to a potential change of heart. How anyone can dispute that fact is beyond me.

Is your name Al because you get it?

Commitment is not something that has a grey area. You're either committed, or you're not. There's no in-between. 99% committed is uncommitted. Committed with the thought of changing your mind down the road is uncommitted.

Somewhere along the way, the dumb recruiting gurus and their dumb verbiage (i.e. "soft commitment") have assaulted the intelligence of people with a grasp of simple concepts like commitment.

I think anything less than 100% in recruiting terms means i'm committed and holding a spot or I am actually 100% committed and the staff knows i'm committed but I want others to think i'm not so I can take some trips.

i'm sure the staff will reach out to brad and family and find out what's going on and know how to proceed.
there will either be a definitive statement of being 100% committed or he will be opening things back up b/c he will say he jumped the gun too soon.

Agreed with the group that thinks its far from over

Mrs. Means-Kaaya is still promoting the U on twitter.

Greg Biggins' article on Scout with the kid's coach definitely sounds like UCLA is still in the mix.

Nah. Quit being a pvssy and a whiner. Ms. Means said he's committed at this time and young Brad has suddenly gone into hiding. I'm classier and more evolved than you.

Can't believe there's a 9 page thread about a kid getting an offer from another school.

Just a matter of time before she starts recruiting Dixon to UCLA to play with her son.

I think its kind of wierd that any mom tweets random tidbits about their kids recruiting process.
