Interesting. I just posted some comparing us to FSU and UiF in gator tears. The gator d is 131st in 3rd down conversion percentage.

Who cares how many yards we put up if the ball isn't ending up in the endzone.

Against FBS opponents, we're 92nd in scoring offense.

Higher rated passing attack than I expected even with the season starting being a run-first offense.

Low defensive numbers come from those 5 or 6 long plays. Otherwise, they'd be pretty stout.

Coaches have "adapted" but keep throwing in drive-killing runs. We don't have anywhere near the roster we need, but we have the roster to be way better than we are.

Passing game is going to get harder as we play the second half of the schedule too.

Lack of explosive plays
Lack of defense against explosive plays
RZ success (lack of TD's)

These 3 things have absolutely killed us.

Lack of plays over 20 yards is the most damning. We have a non explosive offense that can not score in the redzone. Yikes that one flea flicker 6 months ago is our best play all season.

When you look at the numbers versus just FBS opponents on offense, they are far worse. Out of 130 FBS teams.

Things are better offensively, buy we still have to work way too hard for every score.

We averaged 10 plays per drive on our 3 TDs and if not for a circus catch by Young early it would have taken more.

Rush D, pretty nice and didn't realize we were this high in sacks
