Jayden Wayne Film Review: Canes land a 5 Star DE we have prayed for since 2019. Insane length 6'5 245 with athleticism/frame that will remind us of our former 2 1st Rd picks in 2020. Elite Strength & bend followed the knack of disengaging OL to make plays. #WestCostCane #GoCanes

My fav highlight was at 9:55. He was held and turned around and tne dude dimt even look at the ref, kept going until he made the play.Wayne is a machine bro.

Another thing as I watched your hudl breakdown, I thought about Cyrus Moss Hudl. BOTH instances the words screaming in my mind was MIAMI SPEED!

Welcome to the U Jayden 🙌. All the swirling controversy doesn’t take away that he committed to the Canes yesterday and coupled with Moss and Kelly are starting to show depth and stacking chips for Miami and Mario.

Kinsler will automatically be subjected to an internal audit and become a 2 star if he commits....
Its all about the U

End of the day it’s whatever. We got a stud player and we’ve all seen the tape and know this. On the other hand, tough to take 247 serious when I’m pretty sure they’ve confessed before that players get bumps when committing to certain schools because of their track records of developing players. If that really is the case, then previous Miami commits definitely deserved the drop in rank due to our previous staff not developing well. With that said, this staff currently has a track record for developing much better so why wouldn’t they get the benefit of the doubt and get that bump up if that’s really what 247 does?

I agree with you 100 percent. It is the BS that it is... and only worth the paper it's printed on in most cases.

But at the end of the day...does it really matter AFTER the recruit is on the team??

I've seen 2 stars excel to become CFB and NFL stars and 5 stars ride the bench or even get thrown off teams.

Looks good on paper to have a lot of stars BUT truth is you've got to earn it on the field.

There's an argument to be made that the recruits themselves follow these rankings, and that some are front-runner types that will jump to a program showing momentum. Meaning that we're being pushed down by these sites who are SEC slurpers so they can claim they have the strong class and negative recruit against us. ... Personally, I think that stuff might have hurt an Al Golden or Manny Diaz. But No way Mario allows it to impact his class.

I will say it again, these sites and ratings have virtually no relevance. Yes, there's a correlation between stars and the NFL draft. But anyone who's studied statistics can tell you that correlation is not causality. The sites are just looking at who is performing well in the camps, the athlete's measurables and MOST IMPORTANTLY, which program is recruiting him. They are not expert evaluators, they're only expert at adding stars to Bama's, Georgia's, Taint's top targets.

No duh, a Bama starter will get drafted more likely than not. That's what you get from the stars. A star ***** is just a Saban *****.

Rashada (6/26), Joseph (6/28), Williams (7/1), Mauigoa (7/4), Wayne (7/9). That's 5 top recruits in two weeks. Who will be the next top recruits to commit? Okunlola visited UM after visits to Bama and MSU. The last visit sometimes wins the competition. OT Kinsler visited UM after UF and Rutgers. Feeling visited after visits to UF and ND. UM is a top choice for all three OTs according to 247. DL Hicks visited Oregon last and 247 shows Oregon as top choice. But UM is close and Mario might have a relationship with Hicks from his days at Oregon.

In any case, it's good to be thinking that UM can land the big recruits. What a change from the recent past.
Also good to know the new staff can develop 3-stars into elite players.

This is from the former NBA player?
Yes, that’s the Isaiah J Thomas who used to play for the Celtics.

He’s from the Seattle/Kent area between Seattle & Tacoma where a lot of athletes, particularly BBall players have come out of.

Guys like Doug Christie, Jason Terry, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Brandon Roy, Zach LaVine, DeJounte Murray, Kevin Porter Jr & most recently #1 draft pick Paolo Banchero.

Isaiah actually coached Jayden when he played Basketball in 8th grade AAU, it’s the same AAU program that Jamal Crawford used to coach in the offseasons when he would go back home.

It’s a tight-nit community up there & mostly all of the athletes know each other.

If you guys want to see a Bama fan gushing about Wayne and the Miami recruiting class go on youtube and put in ‘ Bama fan reaction to 5 star edge rusher Jayden Wayne.’ Pretty cool stuff the guy knows Miami very well.
