This **** sucks man. I’m completely numb to these losses already. coming into this game I wasn’t as hyped as I’ve been the previous years. This is worse than the AL Golden days and Shannon days, FLAT OUT TERRIBLE. Gattis is brain dead, Steele is an old fart that lost his feel for the game, and Cristobal ls too **** stubborn to hire an oc that runs a spread offense. Praying that next year we’ll pick it up, till then I won’t be wasting my time watching✌🏼

Fair enough...but those offenses also underachieved considering their offensive line was considered to be a top 5 unit in the country and they had a future first round NFL QB behind center.

I still think it's fair to question Mario's complete body of work with respect to his offensive systems.
Yes, and I think everyone agrees, no?

B/c like it or not, they are associated with the school and employee several of the players on our team and will employee players we are recruiting.
They have no leverage over fans. So, not my problem, maybe Frenk shouldn't allow the Dimares and Ruiz to run the sports programs like a daycare facility for their kids. If you mean to suggest they act like morons, well then I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'll give them my Venmo account and spend the money properly, on hookers and drugs, the finer things in life.

I’m not a glass half full or empty guy; I’m a guy who sees there’s a glass of water that’s neither full or empty. I try to see things as they are.

Here’s what I see, & what I’ve been seeing b4 the season even started:

A roster that’s not Miami caliber from top to bottom. We definitely have some players, but it’s far few in between. It’s a roster that’s mimicked yrs past, where we have a couple of guys who r NFL caliber, but a good amount that will wash out or not live up to the hype.

I knew this season was going to be a struggle just knowing what philosophy we were going to try to employ w/ the personnel we have.

However, what I’ve seen thus far…3 games where we haven’t crossed the end zone?? No way in **** did I see this sort of incompetence & anemia.

I’ve wrecked my mind in recalling every season since 1987, & I can’t think of any season where this team haven’t scored a single TD in 3 games in a season. Maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t recall. Even if it did happen b4, in 2022, that’s **** near impossible to do!!

I may be down on this roster, but there’s no way our talent is this deficient to not score a single, funky TD in 3 games, & in back to back games, to add salt to this wound. I don’t mind losing, but I do mind looking like fools.

If Mario does not make a change to this OC & this scheme, immediately, then Lord help his soul. Whatever good will & hope he brought will evaporate quicker than a drop of water is a scorching hot desert. He’s on the clock.

My indifference with this program is at an all-time low.

This might be the worse Miami team I have ever seen (been watching games since the EJ Baker days).

I don’t know what‘s wrong. But, I do know that…

Talent matters.
Execution matters.
Coaching matters.
Scheme matters.

We lack all of the above.

How do we fix it?

No clue, but Mario ain’t going anywhere so let’s hope he lands quality assistants this off-season and a few more studs in the Portal. Blind hope is all we have left at this point.
My only hope is that Mario gets so embarrassed by how ****** he was this year. That he has a rebirth and gets an innovative OC that wants to score fast by any means instead of Gattis and his old way of power run game garbage

Given what the response of the recruiting class is, Mario must have either drugged them, brought his own Hypno and Hypnosis or threatened to kill their gf with a rusty knife.

Or he said the coaching staff will be different.

Dunno which is more realistic.

And don't get too upset about some press conference. Thats coach speak.
Maybe they see immediate playing opportunity, day one, practice one, and believe they can be part of the class to return the program to glory.

Joining a championship team is easy.

Oregon never looked this bad. That’s what gets me. The level of regression from an already-mediocre team is shocking.

It’s not like the Kirby/Kyle situation or 2019 when the QB room was falling apart. TVD is a good player who was zapped of his big-play ability.
We’re not Oregon.

And what people keep overlooking, is that they were not some destitute program that had never won before he got there, they were a premium posh destination for quite some time in the modern era.

Mike Bellotti - 116-55 at Oregon
Chip Kelly - 46-7
Mark Helfrich - 37-16
Mario Cristobal - 35-13

The only Coach who didn’t win at Oregon was Taggart & he was only there for one season...

The narrative that got spun that he built Oregon into some Bama like dynasty was never based in reality.

And what got really swept under the rung was how bad they looked in those Stanford & Utah games from last year.

The key to his success here will be him having a come to Jesus moment when he realizes that HIS way is not the only way & that trying to transform Miami into something we’re not is only going to make his tenure that much harder & that much more frustrating.

I want to say this feels like the Butch years, because that’s always been my comparison. But that would be a lie. This feels like watching Virginia beat Miami 48-0 in the last game of the OB. Fifteen years later almost to the day and we still suck. It’s a numb feeling.

That 2007 team played horrible every week. We played it off by talking about the roster purge and the incoming recruiting class. That team had a bad OC and a staff of excellent individual coaches who didn’t click. And that team had a head coach who ultimately failed.

I have more faith in Cristobal than Shannon, but it’s becoming less rational by the day. This team has played bad in every single game. It’s November. Four straight home losses to kill the fanbase, and three of them are among the worst losses in program history.

The only difference between this team and 2007 is that the 2022 team has better players and more money. Florida State isn’t even a dominant opponent. They will finish with four to five losses. Two years ago, we beat them like they beat us. The difference is we have gotten worse in every aspect.

Better players will help. A new offense will help. Tennessee somehow came back after bottoming out for two decades. But any hope is based on nothing we’ve seen on the field. And that is a painful, familiar feeling.
FEELS MORE LIKE **** ON EARTH

Would love to be a fly on the wall if Mario bent the ear of Butch and Jimmy. Yes, both were from our dreaded past, but do you think they’d privately say ‘stay the course’ or would they say he needs to adapt his thinking and look around CFB as it is today.

Georgia Southern, San Jose ST & the Ohio Bobcats have better Offenses than us...

Does anybody who think it’s all just because of our roster wanna be bold enough to make an argument that SAN JOSE STATE & The OHIO BOBCATS have a better roster than Miami?

I mean I’m sure there are, but at what point when that person is typing that do think to themselves, “I’m really sitting here about to try to say San Jose ST has more talent than Miami, wtf am I doing?!?!?..” lol

Especially when you look at what’s happening in Washington & TCU in year one of both those tenure’s for their new HC’s. Neither team had stacked rosters with a bunch of 5-stars or were 10+ win teams within the last 5 years, so it really cuts at the bungee cord of excuses for why a guy as highly touted as Mario couldn’t get it done in year one.

I’m even willing to give him a pass & year one just doesn’t count, none of these guys are his players, okay cool; but what really has happened is that the bar has been lowered so low that literally any wins above .500 will be such an exponential improvement from this season that it will extend the leeway as far out as year 5, year 6 etc of not really having to produce results commensurate to the contract & the hype & that’s where things get lost in the sauce.

What this can’t turn into is the “Wait til next year Olympics” every year...
The old “just wait right here Ima bring you your money back” gag can only work once on people who have just a little bit of street smarts lol

Hopefully this purge includes the offensive coaching staff
Well, it looks like something will happen. Whatever it is, it seems like Mario will make a move with guys like Alonzo in the building. We are 4-5, in a season where many of us thought 6 or 7 wins was the ceiling. On to the next. I coach HS football and losing sucks.

Every week coaches draw up bad game plans and fail to adjust in game. Who ever we are bringing in? Hopefully people around Mario love him enough to point out his flaws.

If you remove the fake mythology of CMC, then you know this is bull****. Losing to the likes MTSU. Getting out *** pushed in by FSU, when they asked everyone to show up for the game. Man, **** this. And **** the Columbus boys.

YOU FORGOT HOW BAD THEY LOOKED AGAINST OREGON STATE AS WELL WHO HAD A BACK UP QB AND I BELIEVE BACK UP RBS.

MOST HAVE NEVER REALLY WATCHED MARIO COACH...OTHER THAN MAYBE 2 OREGON GAMES A YEAR....I KNEW WHAT HE WAS...PROBABLY WATCHED HIM WAY MORE THAN MOST....AND WAS ALWAYS AT EVERYONES HEAD ABOUT HIM BEING OUR HC.

Folks can go back n check my post...i always said if sh*t hits the fan on offense...what can Mario do?...he cant even call plays....i mean sh*t hit the fan and you saw Manny Diaz went out swinging ..fell on his sword an ran the d himself. MARIO HAS TO HIT ON HIS STAFF...AND BY THE LOOKS HE SWUNG N MISS EARLY.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN PROBABLY 10+ YEARS THAT I DIDNT WATCH THE FSU GAME PASS THE 2ND QUARTER. I knew it was a loss and only had the game on as I dressed to go out for the night.

He's a false bravado coRch selling toughness...but played not to get blown out against A2M....also a now 3-6 A2M...The players saw through his false bravado toughness bull**** and told him to get bent! He's a CoRch of the highest order...worse than Shannon, Fat Al Gluten etc. He should resign immediately if not sooner.

Worst team since the 60's!
