He will be interesting to watch his ranking throughout the season. He seems like an impressive athlete and hasn't camped much. Seems like he's getting a lot of offers from big programs based on his improvement this year,

Again, with the portal, stashing guys for a few years until their junior season isn’t desirable for the player. He’s going to portal to FAU and play before he cracks the rotation here.

Returning for Sainteus’ freshman year at interior D-line:
Scott
Blount
Moten
Jones
Newton
Russell
Simpson

And this isn’t even considering who we add in 2026 (his same class) and in 2027.

I don’t think a team that is hunting nattys can stash guys for a few years especially in the portal era.
My man, to your point in the portal era you always have to account for attrition. Secondly, DT in particular can be extremely expensive and hard to find in the portal. If Sainteus ends up being a hit that'll pay dividends.

Yes account for attrition, that’s my **** point lol. And this guy will be the attrition. We are saying the same thing, I’m just going further and actually stating who I believe the attrition will be. And since I believe this guy is the attrition, taking him is pointless.

the guy is big, fast, seems like he can play edge and tackle.
a late bloomer...the tape doesn't lie.
he's a least a 4*
Agree. Just watched his highlights (say what you want about that) and the kid plays with speed and a high motor. He looks a little clumsy, but the type of clumsy you see with a puppy learning how to use his new big body. He’s quick off the ball and plays violently. He also does not look fat. Will need some time for technique.

Good swim move. Dude owns a gap. He will likely need to learn a ton but playing lg on O should help him. Has one **** of a motor.

LMFAO **** let me borrow that crystal ball.

I'm sure he wasn't the staffs' top target, but we are less than 3 months away from signing day and we only had 2 DL commits to date. You can't rely on flips. He is 100% a take considering our circumstances and the position.

One big edge. A dt with speed to shoot the gap and chase down anything outside the tackle

dude you can go through anybody’s class and find bust. Some of y’all just want to be mopes for the **** of it, I get it’s your schtick but god **** why be so insufferable on this board.
I’m literally making the argument that Miami is in the league of chasing titles and teams that do compete for titles don’t take developmental players in the portal era. How is that being a mope? Because I just don’t praise everything our staff does? Go away

All you can ask for is the staff hitting on targets they really want if you believe the staff can identify and develop talent. If they are taking his commitment now, given some of the flip targets they are after, he must be a player they want. No staff will hit on all targets but this player certainly looks like he is trending up quickly and there are other schools that recently started chasing. I like adding some prospects who are really starting to shine as Seniors in high school. Especially along the lines of scrimmage.

And Skinner, Archeampong, Graves, Chance, Moss, Kelly, Harris, just to name a few.

Dude isn’t a take for us.

Why not? What don't you like about his tape?

Also…N.Kelly could play here right now, he would be the #3 DE, #4 at worst. What's wrong with that evaluation? Jaleel Skinner is at least in the rotation for Louisville, and is no better or worse than Bauman. It's probably early on Chance Robinson too…But even if he is a bust. Your really expect the man to bat 1.000? Saban doesn't back 1.000

Good questions.

1. I have a big issue when the talent he plays against. I’m not an expert in evaluation but his competition looked uncompetitive.

2. Kelly would not be on the two deep. That’s why he left.

3. Skinner sucks. He has 6 rec in two years at UL and he’s a receiving TE.

4. Correct, no one bats a 1.000 that’s my point in saying this guy is more than likely a bust and portals out after sophomore year

This is the type of project you take a flyer on. And if he’s our floor at DT, then **** - sign me up.

He’s fast. Great motor. Perfect physique with not much baby fat to reshape. Appears to be humble with a strong family behind him. And he’s probably super hungry to be successful.

Only knock against him is that he’s not a highly touted 4-5 star, and he’s only been playing ball a few years.

Kid is a no-brainer take.
