According to 247Sports, 2014 RB Sony Michel has two schools leading his recruitment, Georgia and Notre Dame, with Miami, FSU and UF still in the mix.

However, InsideTheU reports that Sony states a final five of Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, Georgia and Florida. Miami has been recruiting Sony since the 8th grade and has visited the Coral Gables campus numerous times unofficially.

Speaking of long recruitments, Dawgs247 reported recently that Georgia has been recruiting Sony hard for two to three years. This methodology worked for them in the recruitment of Keith Marshall and Isaiah Crowell.

Finally, Michel has also stated, in an interview for GatorBait, that he wants to make his commitment before his senior season so that he can concentrate on winning a state championship and leave his legacy.

It’s a long, long way to NSD!

I dont think he want to compete with top sf running backs coming in every year, think about it dude goes to american heritage besides o linemen why types of top guys they produce he hasn't had any competition since the 8th grade.......... THE 8TH GRADE. hope hes a cane great dude i think we still bring in three great backs without him. LOVE to have him but wont lose sleep about it

You're talking about him not wanting to compete but you make it seem like UGA doesn't have a couple top RBs right now. You think because they have Sony they'll stop recruiting top RBs at UGA? No.

Wherever he goes he'll have to compete. ****, he's said he welcomes the competition and is something he looks for when choosing his school.

You know the drill. If a kid picks Miami he is the next great one. Gonna lead Miami to the promise land, future HOF. But if he gose elsewhere he is overrated, scared to compete.

UGA has been bringing in 5 star back after 5 star back in recent years so going there would make Sony scared to compete? LOL The one thing I find weird about UGA is how so many of their backs have flamed out because they couldn't stay out of trouble. Surprised Sony would be involved with that.

I didnt read all five pages but...

Bakas has been saying his early prediction for Michel is UGA.

I said it before but even though Bakas sucks, that's still not good. A kid he is very familiar with, he normally errs on the side of caution and would guess Miami. I don't like that he says UGA. Some think his word means nothing but here, it's not a good sign no matter how you try to spin it.

But that's exactly what I mean. He always errs on the side of caution, which is the hometown team. In this case he is saying the opposite, and actually an OOS school. Obviously his word certainly isn't gold but coupled with some of the other things floating around, and it isn't a good sign.

Agreed.

Although Bakas has thrown a few curveballs in the last couple cycles with betting against us grabbing Bush and McCord.

In his defense a lot of people were betting against us with McCord.
