You are Kyle Murray.......

His college baseball stats are good but don't seem like an "all-time prospect" to me. Batting average just below .300 and an OPS under 1.000 make me wonder Mr. Moneyball Billy Beane is so interested in this player.
Because those are good stats for a CFer?

There's no guarantee he'll make it to the Show in baseball but if he does he'll make a lot of money. Other than the signing bonus, minor league baseball players don't make much. I think he should try to do both sports.

He plays QB so football. Everyone saying baseball because of a longer career is trippin. A good qb nowadays plays 20 years.

Those of you going "well 17.5 Million sets you up for life", so does 4.5 Million, and you don't even have to risk severe brain injury. If the dude retires from baseball at 25 with "just" his signing bonus, he's doing fine and someone might take a flier on him in the league.

You're kidding, right?

Will make more money in the NFL. Even if drafted at the bottom of the 1st he would get more money. Playing baseball he could bounce around the minors and never get that guaranteed money.
He gets that $4.9m the second he turns up to the A's Spring training camp.

Everything beyond that isn't a given, no.

The minor league system makes this an easy choice for me. In the NFL a 1st rounder makes money no matter what in baseball he might never even make it

With a 5M$ signing bonus in baseball, it's a matter of when he makes the major leagues, not if.

He's an elite athlete and could probably play CF for the A's right now. Bat may take a year or two to catch up but he could play 15 years in the big leagues

Baseball. You can always make a run at the bigs and if you’re as good as advertised you get paid. If not, go back to football. A lot easier to do it that way than vice versa.

Brandon Weeden went back and played football at 27 or 28 years old and made quite a bit of money. Murray is by far a better talent in both sports than Weeden.

Do exactly what he did. Negotiate to get more money. (If I’m the A’s I would say no like they did) if they don’t meet a number I want then I do both. Making it out of the minors is no joke, plus baseball has evolved into a game all about homeruns. Kyler is a baller but his style of play doesn’t match what’s being looked for in this era of baseball. He is good tho.

Gotta get that big 1st round NFL money. Hes likely 5 years away from a big baseball contract. Smart move by him to ask for the big league $15 million contract.

Baseball, more $. Guaranteed contracts. Less risk.
Amen he isn't doing **** in the league at 5"9 why are lying to this little dude. Only problem is I can def see him struggling in baseball. He's only had 240 college at bats and hasn't swung a bat since June. Is he really a centrr fielder. Is he a corner stone type player

Brain = Baseball

College Football is closer to NFL than College Baseball is to MLB.. readiness

is he good enough to play in MLB? don't know

i truly think he is a better football player

Oakland won't pay $15m.

MLB might, but they'd have to foot $10m of that bill.

If I'm Murray I go and play baseball. He's 5'9", with the best will in the world he's not succeeding as a QB in the NFL at that height (and build).

I understand why he's done it as the NFL is far more glamorous and less of a grind (162 game season?!), but it's not what I'd do in his shoes.
mlb aint putting money toward a team signing a player. If oakland wants him they are gonna have to pay up. As far as football in todays game he will be able to play in the nfl because of how the rules have changed and qbs are untouchable
