Money wise baseball
Because those are good stats for a CFer?His college baseball stats are good but don't seem like an "all-time prospect" to me. Batting average just below .300 and an OPS under 1.000 make me wonder Mr. Moneyball Billy Beane is so interested in this player.
He gets that $4.9m the second he turns up to the A's Spring training camp. Will make more money in the NFL. Even if drafted at the bottom of the 1st he would get more money. Playing baseball he could bounce around the minors and never get that guaranteed money.
He's literally getting just under 5 million for showing up.Football. Good chance he get stuck in the minors and never see 1M.
Baseball, more $. Guaranteed contracts. Less risk.
Amen he isn't doing **** in the league at 5"9 why are lying to this little dude. Only problem is I can def see him struggling in baseball. He's only had 240 college at bats and hasn't swung a bat since June. Is he really a centrr fielder. Is he a corner stone type playerBaseball, more $. Guaranteed contracts. Less risk.
mlb aint putting money toward a team signing a player. If oakland wants him they are gonna have to pay up. As far as football in todays game he will be able to play in the nfl because of how the rules have changed and qbs are untouchableOakland won't pay $15m.
MLB might, but they'd have to foot $10m of that bill.
If I'm Murray I go and play baseball. He's 5'9", with the best will in the world he's not succeeding as a QB in the NFL at that height (and build).
I understand why he's done it as the NFL is far more glamorous and less of a grind (162 game season?!), but it's not what I'd do in his shoes.
