Ive never been blown away or even super impressed with Will Mallory. That said, he's been consistently competent and has shown year over year improvement every year that he's been on campus. If he continues on that annual rate of improvement, I expect that he will be a top 10 tight end this season.

He's legit, he's just been criminally underutilized his entire career.

Yep. My biggest gripe from Lashlee last year was the TE usage, especially not taking advantage of two TE sets. He needs to figure that out this season.

I still say he's a good TE, but too stiff and can't make the difficult catch. I'm hoping Aroyo and Mammarelli are the speedy TE's we should always have.

This has to be a breakout season for Mallory. He has the speed .. super athlete running high hurdles. Lashlee needs to use him more often. Should get more targets as King / Lashlee open up the offensive playbook a bit more this year.

Well in fairness, Brevin wasn’t, too, reliable health wise. Mallory has had his fair shots, & he’s been hot & cold here. I want to see him more consistent. Right now, based upon his body of work, he’s a fringe 6th round pick - UDFA.

His potential is through the roof, but I need to see more, consistently.

Mallory will have a huge season. Lash did a great job of utilizing the TE last year and he’s going to be the primary target this go round.

Mallory is going into year 4..he’s made improvements every year. At 6-5 245-255 he has very good speed and movement skills..35-45 Catches 8-10 TDs..drafted. Book that

Brevins movement skills, Yac ability and route running was very good for this level. Mallorys size/speed should offer different matchup advantages.. I think Mallory is in for a very nice szn. And no he nor Brevin have been “under utilized”. If Brevin doesn’t miss games he was on pace for a 45-50 catch double digit TD szn..so idk where that narrative is coming from in this thread

interesting...Mallory lining up at WR?? We going 22 personnel??..we actually ran a ton of 12 personnel last szn. But I think we are way more explosive going 11 Personnel with a spread look
