I'm just wondering what yall gonna say if Perry is the guy that Enos says runs the offense the best? Are you going to even give him a chance ? Are we going to be chomping at the bit for him to be benched so your guy can get a shot ? I'm genuinely curious.

I will. In fact, I'll be one of his biggest fans.

A decade ago, there was a 2nd-string WR who had a history of laziness and a pot smoking problem. Shannon was ready to kick him off the team. In fact, IIRC, Shannon caught two or three other kids at the same time and they were gone a few days later. I was all for Shannon's tough love. The kid was super talented. One of his friends posted on Grassy, said he was a good kid just needed to get his head back into the game. I was really skeptical, was tired of the distractions. We had seen enough of the Coker lack of discipline. In my book, a kid who didn't work hard enough in practice and had off-field problems was a liability. Shannon gave him another chance, though, and a few years years later, that same young man, Sam Shields, was one of the top CBs in the NFL.

So, yeah, this is #TNM, and Perry deserves to be #TNP. I'll back him 100%. Perry has my respect for how he's handled himself these past 7 months. But he has to earn the right to start at Miami, just like Sam did. And there are a two other pretty good options. On the field, he needs to handle pressure much better. And that beautiful arm of his is no good if he can't hit his guy more than 1 in 4 times.

Any of these three I’m good.

I want the best QB. Everything seems to say the race is close, so if no one transfers, the QB depth is fantastic.

I would want Tate, because I'm a big believer in intangibles and ability to not be a knucklehead. That said, if Williams or Perry outperform him then they should start. The problem is that I still have my misgivings about Kosi. Immaturity can't magically get fixed in one offseason, especially someone that was a complete idiot for two years. I don't care if you had the second coming as Rich Kotite as your position coach, you should be able to consistently attend class, show up to meetings and not do stupid crap on social media. Jarren has his flaws as well, but we have a smaller sample size. That said, the best man starts, the next best backs him up. Period.

Why not? Lot of Money Manziel in Money Martell.

Short, swagged out ****y dudes who run sub 4.6. Not pure passers but can get it done. Great at extending plays, improvising from the gun

Why not?

Because he isn’t a heisman candidate for one

Black folks pulling for the black qbs, whites are pulling for Martell and Shirreffs even though he's gone ( lol ) whereas TRUE Miami fans want the BEST guy to start.

I pulled for shirreffs and now Williams. I’m white. But I was really fast back in the day.
Also, Williams’s complexion is not as dark as Perry’s, so I don’t feel like I’m going too far away from my implicitly racist and privileged white heritage (I do that right?)

OK, I'll play. Give me Stephen Morris and we ride this offense to the playoffs.

There, I gave you a favorite.

0 to do with heritage. Everything to do with play.

My number 1 choice would be Tua.

You realize that not only has Hurts not won at OU yet, but Fields has been struggling at OSU. He's obviously going to start because everyone else left but it proves no matter who you are, you'll struggle at a brand new place until you learn the offense and the personnel

Struggling learning a new offense versus not even looking like a Power 5 caliber QB is a big difference.
